Its supposedly on DAB & Freeview 719 which is pretty much useless if you're out of the area.

I grudgingly pay for Town Player which links in to the Town Square app - only way to listen in down here in Birmingham

Nonsense! What % of fans have DAB?
Surely you have 1 on fm and 1 on mw and dab?
If all 3 playing then the mw coverage should give updates from DAB
If its a decision made by Town in the package we've agreed we're daft!
If by Radio Leeds then it needs reversing

No commentary at all, Bradford on fm. Fucking disgrace, pardon my French. So I need to buy a new car to get commentary. Why am I paying a license fee.

15% of cars have DAB - I'd expect that figure to be lower in West Yorkshire. Nonsense

Aye load of shite, checked both frequencies after the game to find Bradford coverage on both. Was looking forward to hearing the reaction on the way home after a good win and performance.

15% of cars have DAB - I'd expect that figure to be lower in West Yorkshire. Nonsense I have a portable DAB radio which is indispensable for travelling. I can play it on speaker or headphones and the battery life is excellent and size of a cigarette packet. You can get one for between 60 - £90. A great investment.

Silver lining .., at least we now don't get to hear RL talk down our club and supporters as they tend to do while at the same time being sycophantic/ deluded about Leeds
I've long thought they don't like Town and this just adds to my opinion. To have Bradford on both FM and Medium takes the proverbial

Some of the utter shyte they waste our fucking money on at the BBC and I can't listen to the commentary of my championship team unless I use dab or free view. It's a fucking disgrace, what planet are these fuckwits on.

I don't disagree that it may be a good investment but this isn't a commercial radio station where you may want to have that / make the choice to listen to it - its the BBC. People already pay their licence fee. I can afford a DAB radio for £60-90, a lot of people cannot. As I say we're talking 85% + of cars do not have DAB. If there are 2 channels and 3 teams then clearly someone has to go on DAB - in which case the MW coverage should have say 6 updates through the game. Annoying if your team is on MW but gives all fans access. But when 2 teams are playing its plain stupid to put the same team on FM and MW and one on DAB. Its utterly stupid!

The up side to not hearing Radio Leeds is not having to hear Noel Whelan say the only line he's got - "GET-IN!" on the rare occasions they manage to score.
He's paid to describe the action. IMO just saying "GET-IN!" isn't doing what he is paid to. Certainly not an "expert summariser" anyway.
Poor that nobody could hear the coverage they have agreed to do though.

I've sent radio Leeds a politely worded email to ask them for the reason why they put Bradford City on both frequencies, I await their reply with interest, I won't hold my breath.

I'm going to send them a nasty email later this evening and suggest that some tw@ needs sacking for taking that decision. All the way back to Mansfield and not a word said about Town ANYWHERE! #fuming

I am disappointed and fuming about Radio Leeds clear don't give a toss attitude to Town fans. Leeds are not playing and yet both FM and MW give coverage to Bradford, while Town are consigned to DAB and a Freeview Channel that realistically are only both covered by equipment more suitable for GCHQ or the NSA or a car fitted out by Q from MI6 Town have stuck by RL for many years whilst both Leeds and Bradford went their own ways with the Pulse or Yorkshire Radio. DAB is great if you are in a built up area and coverage decreases into rural areas so cannot for the life in me wonder why Leeds are not covered on DAB. Historically RL did split frequencies to allow coverage on FM for both Leeds and Town, so why cannot this be done again. As already mentioned there are not many vehicles fitted with DAB and absolutely livid today that I could not listed to post match reports whilst travelling home. In my view this is clearly discriminatory against Town and am considering submitting a complaint to Radio Leeds about this. I will try and post the complaint on this thread with the email address to send it and the single point of contact that is responsible for this cluster fuck. This would allow many complaint by email which might have more of an impact than a single one. I would wonder if the club had a view on this subject. It is not the same travelling home after a game and not listening to to Oggy and DW as well as fans comments. This is not fair nor is it either justified or a reasonable course of action by the BBC. It is clearly discriminatory against a particular group of licence payers

Town seriously need to rethink the broadcasting rights for commentary. Do we have a say in who broadcasts the games?

I'm normally mild mannered about stuff like this but this is absolute treachery and an outrage... First leeds then bradford have dumped RL on their arse then returned and it appears both now have priority over town... I get it re leeds... Listening figures n all that... But bradford ? I literally couldn't believe my ears when I tuned in after the game

I know its a bit sad but like has already been said it doesn't seem right not to be able to listen in the car, all part of the match day experience.
