3rd it is then after today's games...Norwich go 3-1 up.
To be fair though, would have been very surprised if either Norwich or Newcastle had slipped up with these games.

Late Preston goal at Brighton is helpful. Means it's highly likely we'"" be no lower than 3rd even after Wednesday.

I am enjoying Radio Leeds today though - excellent commentary. I can hear the utter disappointment in GET IN'S voice. Leeds deserved to win apparently, hit the post, hit the crossbar, blah.....

Taking a wider view of today's football, I have to say that it appalls me that several of the Greedy League teams have played just SEVEN league games. It's October 15th, for heaven's sake! We've played 11 and all 4th Division clubs have all played 13. Far too many 'dead' days for fans of the top teams nowadays.

Agreed, thought those two games for Newcastle and Norwich were guaranteed 3 points, otherwise not too bad. A win tomorrow and a 9 point gap on 7th would be massive. Fingers crossed!

Only one point between the 3 top teams..a draw takes us 2nd...but how can little Udders compete with Newcastle and Norwich ..look at the goals they've scored...I hope we hang on in there and Dean splashes the cash on a top striker in january... We'll beat the Wendies anyway..we've played some decent teams so far and have nowt to fear from that lot..

TV reporters loving the fact that Newcastle and Norwich are back in their rightful places at in the top 2 with us not playing. Then the task for us tomorrow is to beat Sheffield Wednesday and beat them well. We are up here on merit and it's time to show up the 'experts' who think we're a flash in the pan.

even when we win, newcastle and Norwich both play on Tuesday so could leap frog us again before our game on Wednesday..although Norwich at Fulham looks tricky for them..

Aston Villa v Wolves. Well done to Sky for showing a live game of a team in the bottom three for a change!

Holloway in the toilets of the Sky studio at the moment. Doing a little jig in front of the mirror. Combing his eyebrows and straightening his tie. Saying to himself, "I knew Villa would go down".

And in the other game Martin Atkinson manages to send off Aaron Cresswell by making 2 fucking awful decisions. He really is a diabolical excuse for a ref

Take away the nasty Grealish and the goals of Kodjia and McCormack and this Villa team has absolutely nothing at all. They are truly shocking!
Wolves could and should have had five but as someone says above, the ref has completely bottled this. Villa could easily be four or five down and both Grealish and Chester should be off.
