Greece defeat cost him mainly because he played all the "superstars" together, under pressure from people who know fuck all. The kids who he knows so well have been good. Does the German know these players or will he revert to the "superstars" ?? Can't imagine winning a major competition with a German manager, just doesn't feel right. Playing without a striker was inexcusable. Works if you have the right people. Spain did it for years. But when you have Harry Kane, Watkins etc, I agree. Inexcusable. Carsley, I believe has given Tuchel a platform to build on. Players who have dropped out need assessing. Some probably needed the break, other probably wanted the rest. Those who wanted, never select them again for me.

I don't think Carsley really wanted the job - particularly after all the Press attention.
He obviously said something right at half time and guess the red card help but still got to take advantage.
