A Sunday league team keeps that out the net, heck even Town probably don't concede that

Woeful defending. Fortunately it's only the mickey mouse nations league which I couldn't give a toss about, might as well be a friendly for me. As long as some lessons are learned for the important stuff.

The full backs tonight have been awful. Someone please tell me what alexander Arnold does to warrant getting picked.

Too many 'Billy Big Bollocks' players in this squad that think playing for England is a chore. No pride, passion or desire. The Greeks on the other hand showed all that in spades. Their manager has them playing for the shirt and wouldn't take the shit our lot serve up.

Got what we deserved, average at best right from the start. Schoolboys would be ashamed of the defending for the 2nd goal, must've had 5 chances to get rid of the ball.
Well played Greece, fair result in the end.

The full backs tonight have been awful. Someone please tell me what alexander Arnold does to warrant getting picked. He's very good at giving the ball away. The so called experts are blinded by the occasional rasping shot and ignore the fact that he's an expert at picking out the opposition.

Ivan (Jovanovic) not so terrible is just the kind of manager England need, the Greeks played some decent stuff & he seemed to know exactly how to manoeuvre his players around on the pitch......3 out 3 since he took over on 1st August, wonder if he did apply for England job?

Seemed like someone who had been reading too many fan and media demands tbh !
Play all the attacking talent but have no balance in the team or strikers.
Needs to be his own man - not that the guy wants the job going by post match interviews.
Sounds like Carsley has been put off wanting the job

We set the tone from the very start. Ball back to stones and he just stood with the ball at his feet, seemingly oblivious to what was to come next.
It's perhaps an old fashioned view however systems and selection are only a small part of a game like last night. That was 11 F1 cars (or so we are led to believe) against 11 touring cars and quite frankly, they should have been able do make the necessary changes themselves on the field to do better than they did.
As far the after match interview with Carsley.......

Think the FA will have been put off offering him the job after that! It was his to lose and Id be surprised if he hasnt lost it.
I disagree that our players lack pride or passion playing for their country. Has been the case in the past I think, but ending that was something Southgate managed to do IMO. But Greece clearly have good players so anyone facing them needs some kind of coherent structure and game plan or they'll fall short...and thats what happened to us in that game.
Tactically we were a shambles right from kick off and you can shoehorn as many great attacking players into the team as you like, if it doesnt come with some sort of structure to it, it wont work.

Part of me can't help thinking Carsley did that as a deliberate "fuck you" to those clamouring to pack the team with the so called 'talent'.
But a team with that many top level footballers should be able to adjust and realise when things aren't working, to get themselves into the game.
And for those of you referring to Alexander-Arnold, you have to call him Trent because that's what the chummy media love in says 😁

You only have to watch those players at their top clubs and what they do for them to see that. Bellingham, Foden, Saka, Palmer, Gordon...all top top players but crikey shoehorning them all into the same side at the same time is an enormous tactical ask! I think making on field changes ( or not ) is a good point. That was a very young side and maybe lacked those old heads who will do that. No Kane, no walker, no trippier, Maguire. Stones was the skipper I think...dont know if hes ever done that before for anyone.
