Exactly they had been doing well infact but obviously today was a bad one. Had the excuse of 10 men though which my lot didn't. Disastrous. Your lots social media team had a ‘mare today Mark. Pregame. Postgame. Certainly agree - not for the first time. I knew it would come back to bite somehow. Obviously our players were as motivated or pumped for the game as the admin team were.

The Arsenal red card…
I cannot see how that is an obvious goal scoring opportunity. It’s a foul 50 yards from goal. He’s going to get there, but needs to control it, with two defenders bearing down on him. He has a lot to do even before getting a shot off. Yellow is the correct decision, there’s simply too much doubt for it to be an obvious goal scoring opportunity. It certainly isn’t a clear and obvious error once yellow is shown.

He was through on goal. No way was that tanned granny from Benidorm getting back in time and the keeper was retreating towards his goal. He was going to get a run on goal and it is therefore a denial of a goalscoring opportunity. Good decision

Some bloke in a pub in Leeds was telling me that it is now the ‘potential’ to score rather than ‘obvious’ goal scoring opportunity. It just seemed an unfair red to me.

Daft thing for him to do.. he is very, very quick and would easily have caught the striker. I guess its to stop slower defenders trying the same??? I am wholly against 'taking a yellow for the team' anywhere on the pitch. The expert described 'good yellow' needs removing from the game.

He gave the ref a decision to make but again we saw how 2 different officials can see an incident their own way.
Another ref might side with the original call.
Having said that not sure Arsenal can complain too much.
I bet they would have been screaming for a red themselves had it been the other way round.

I cannot see how it could be anything other than a red. Doesn't matter if its 20 yards or 50 yards. The player effectively was one on one. There was no covering player. Keeper was 20 yards off his line.

Killie very good against Rangers today. at last we see a competitive game of football involving one of the top two teams in Scotland on a Sunday lunchtime.
Tom Lawrence playing for Rangers... one of those players I cannot abide since his Derby days.
Some guy called Gary Mackay-Steven playing for Killie... remember him?

This Sunderland away shirt hurts the eyes A real traditional take on things, they wont of course but it would be great if fans of all teams would boycott these daft designs that just milk fans loyalty/gullibility..delete as applicable.

Money, money, money..must be funny in the top Premier league???
Line of vision???
Unless you have tunnel vision, you must be aware of the man that close.
He bumps the keeper to begin with after the corner is taken, in an offside position, he is therefore 'active' in the same move..
Man city will never, ever concede a var goal the same or similar to that one..
The problem is we all know it but money makes it go away..
The saddest thing is many fans will take it, if its for them, many in the premier league though will never get the decisions if playing the top few.
Btw, the wolves player before the corner who was running with the ball is contacted from behind before the city player touches the ball, its a foul 99 times out of a hundred, but seemingly not if city need a goal in the last few minutes🤔 If it was Grealish etc it would have also been a yellow card, you just know it.

Agree. He was active and disrupted the keeper Shocking decision after Wolves had held them off for so long.

He isn't offside when the corner is taken and has moved off the keeper at the point the header is made (becomes active). It's a tough one but I think the right decision
My bigger issue with that game was the unconscious (I assume) bias of the referee that any contact on a "better" player must be a foul but on an "inferior" player it is play on. It allowed City to keep momentum going throughout that second half and whether it was a foul or not on the Wolves player in the 93rd minute on the edge of the City box I can 100% guarantee the ref is giving that at the other end

That guy is 100% interfering with play else why would he duck? If he had nothing to do with the move surely he’d stay upright and try to infringe the keeper? I stand by the old school way if you’re on the park and playing you are interfering with play as at least one member of the opposition has his concentration on you gacy the rule is bollocks!

He is active, offside, as soon as the corner is taken, he fouls the keeper, its not much of a foul but it is for the reason to move the keeper or to take his attention. He is offside from start to finish of the 'same move'....

The keeper in the wolves game should have gone down just not too theatrically, wolves might or might not have got a free kick, too late now.

He is active he is on the field as an opposition player. Yes I know you are going to quote the rule but the rule is bollocks.why is he in the position he is the answer is to disrupt play. If you ask me that rule was bought in to throw confusion over offside and onside it should be as easy as tennis but because we now have interfering and not it’s open to the highest bidder I mean interpretation.

If I was Wolves I’d be much more annoyed about not getting the free kick just outside the city box, which would have given them a chance to win it. Was a clear foul.
