Ref for this Brighton game is Keith Stroud - the chap who didn't send-off Bristol keeper Fielding. Can't spot a penalty or a sending off for us but he can for BHA Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

Ref for this Brighton game is Keith Stroud - the chap who didn't send-off Bristol keeper Fielding. We owe him one then. If he had sent the keeper off, we wouldn;t have won.

If I'm being harsh he went with his wrong hand for the first goal too, but it was a great strike so we can let him off that one.

Commentator just said that Stroud isn't afraid to make big decisions. Seemed to be very afraid of them 2 weeks ago, maybe its because he's on the telly today?!
They also said Tony Bloom has put over £250m into Brighton. Another Portsmouth in the making, I think.

Keith Stroud is a terrible ref. Up there with Deadman and Boyeson.

One may, for whatever reason, dislike Brighton but their owner, and family, have been involved with Brighton for decades. Apparently their stadium is a separate issue from the football club so probably not !

Ok, leta downgrade that to 'the next bolton wanderers' then if we are talking about a family propping a club up over a long period. Either way, the money runs out at some point.

Listening to 5live and the commentator said Derby still have eyes on the automatic places, but they'll need Brighton and/or Newcastle to blow up to let them in ! So presumably Reading, us, the scum and the Wendies will all just let them through because of their divine right to be in the Greedy League

Another soft penalty for a team around us, and another referee picking and choosing which holding to penalise.

A definite penalty and well done ref for giving it. If more refs gave pens for holding, shirt pulling etc then we'd seen a damn sight less of it.

Derby win. Gonna be nip n tuck all the way this promotion game. Got to keep winning to stay involved. Different sort of pressure for us to deal with this year. No complaints... just happy to be part of it.

Another soft penalty for a team around us, and another referee picking and choosing which holding to penalise. Richard Keogh doing his 'dying swan' act. "Look at me! Look at me! Ref! Ref!" Cue whistle ...

I feel quite peculiar, watched bith games today and thought there was soem really good football played. Dont know how we can compete with them. Then realised we have been all season.
brighton - unlucky deflected goal Derby - we beat them fair and square Brum - draw we deserved better QPR - no contest.
We must be alright!

The old adage in football you only play as well as the opposition let you is so true right now. Yes we are good with the ball, but our work without it has improved almost beyond belief hence how we stay in games even when the other team has a good spell. Fulham apart we havent lost a game inside 45 mins all season.......huge huge improvement and long may it continue. Brighton certainly have the edge going into the new year......but a murray injury, loss of dunk or knockaert for any lengtyh spell and it could open up again. May also be interesting to see how the geordies cope without shelvey for another 3 league games!!!

The penalty situation is getting ridiculous now, its almost like we're playing in a handicap system. According to their forum, Reading have had 10 (Ten!) penalties this season already, plus another 2 in the cup!
Then you look at us who have not only not been awarded any at all but we've also had a fair few soft ones awarded against us. 'Fortune' like this must have surely swung the number of points gathered up to now by both teams by a fairly significant amount i should imagine.
