Don't really see what the big deal is here. Yes, it's one of the most expensive away days (in terms of ticket prices) if not the highest but if they'd charged us £30, the same as we charged them, would people be complaining so much and even threatening to boycott it? C'mon. For the sake of six quid? Really? That's what it boils down to. Paying £6 over the top for something. We've all done that for far less important things than supporting your team. Just got to bite the bullet on this one lads, get there in numbers and back the team loud and proud. FFS use some of the £200+ saved on your season card to justify it if you have to. I sat in that away end last season for Wagner's first game and although I know a lot had gone on behind the scenes beforehand that day was the start of this wonderful journey we're currently on. Money can't buy that. Will be great to go back. Definitely not going to miss this one. The away upper is a shithole, like going back in time, miles from playing area. As I asserted its absolute robbery. Cmon mate get real. When have you ever gone to an away game pre-millennium in this league & paid £10-£15? I paid £30 at your place, it’s £6 more man. It’s a huge game between 2 local teams that are both aiming to be in play-offs & you’re going to miss it for 6 pounds? Also the away end may hold 7k but the most tickets we can sell is 4,500, due to safety reasons, but I do agree with you that away end is shocking, from the outside mainly, I cringe every time I see it. It’s a good view though, worth the extra £6

this is a special offer to our yorkshire friends we charged villa £42 & that was live on tv You Robbing gits, bloody awful outdated ground too, miles from anywhere. Yeah it’s not cheap, we get slagged off by every club that comes to Hillsboro Believe it or not though it’s quite reasonable for a season ticket, cheapest is about £435, but it’s a rip off to pick & choose. It’s all because of FFP but doesn’t make it right. We charged £18/£5 yesterday & we sold out in the home areas , funny that….

That's after a £37 at Leeds. Where does it stop? Don't get me wrong... the £30 we charged is steep. Wigan at £22 is about right. We should all agree to cap it at summat reasonable. £25?

What's Financial Fair Play got to do with it? Am I missing something here?

That is just ridiculous. Was gonna go to this but they can fuck right off with that price. Who do they think they are! A match that far away should be £25 max.

What's Financial Fair Play got to do with it? Am I missing something here? Because they need to rip everyone off to subsidise the 135 strikers they need. Another shit house club spending beyond their means trying to buy promotion.

I know a Leeds fan who paid £120 for his family (2+2), to watch the game at Elland Rd yesterday. Where's the value in that? It's an absolute joke.

It's an absolute joke. The cost is obscene, but then logic often goes out the window when following Town. It'll be the kids first away game, and they want to go to the FA Cup game too. Making the most of it whilst it lasts, good seasons don't come around that often for Town. Luckily it costs next to nothing to bring them to the home games.

It's worse than a Victorian prison gallery and should be managed by G4S. Come to think of it, that's probably why they charge so much. I'll probably go though, considering the 4-4, 'the towel is ours,' and Pilks, Afobe and Carey. It could be a new milestone for us.

Would not pay £36 at home against the best teams in England , there is not a chance I will be going to Sheffield for our next league game. In life you make a stance when things are not right because if you don't the people that are doing the wrong thing keep doing it. £36 to watch a game of football is beyond a joke. This is from a man that's been to over 70 different footy grounds in my life so far.

This is from a man that's been to over 70 different footy grounds in my life so far. I wouldn't criticise anybody who said I'm not paying that to watch a game - neither should anybody else, they don't know people's circumstances, earnings, outgoings, priorities etc etc. I've never missed a Town game at Hillsborough since I started watching ( they haven't been our most frequent opponents ) so my first visit was the pre season Shipp Cup in 1977, however last season due to the spiralling ticket cost coupled with the Powell affect, I decided to boycott - however Wagners appointment meant I decided to go for his first away game and despite losing I was glad I had, the signs of change could already be seen. This season it is without doubt too expensive, in fact it's a joke, only not funny, BUT because this just could be a season to never forget I'm going to "suck it up" and go - if it turns into another Newcastle or Beeston or Norwich then for me it's money well spent, if we get another Fulham then it's a punt I lost on. My choice, no problem, however there needs to be a cap along the lines of £20s plenty, if clubs won't volunteer then force them.

For £37 a girl can get a decent pair of shoes, or a bloke can get a decent lap dance. Based on that conclusive evidence, where is the value in spending it on watching a football match? I would expect new shoes and a lap dance for £37

The only way football will become more consistently affordable, is for crowds to drop off in the top 2 divisions & TV money halved. That way, it will start to reduce salaries of average players to something that they're worth, instead of the stupid amounts they now earn for being quite ordinary. That might also reduce the money being taken out of the game by the leeches (agents)...
Sadly it looks as though neither of those will happen any time soon, so this type of discussion will go on season after season...
BTW, when I say ordinary players, they would still be paid a fair whack above what folk like us lot earn.
Jimmy Glazzard was arguably our Jordan Rhodes of the day - he owned a grocers shop in Sheepridge in his later yrs, after retiring from playing. Somehow I can't see JR buying a NISA franchise to earn a living after football...

Or WorlCup winner Ray Wilson working as a funeral director compared with say Ashley Cole (who missed out on that particular medal)
