Only a half hour stroll up Blacker Road. But it is a pull up there so best leave 40 minutes. You could catch a 360 to hospital and walk to Marsh on the plus side it's down hill from infirmary as opposed to up blacker rd If you're doing that, may as well just change buses in town though. 360 goes through Marsh anyway, mind.

Who's in which block then for Saturday...I bought early and am in Block P...not that that means anything to me...is it a wing block, a central block...who knows ? I asked for as near central as possible and got Block R.
My pal asked for some in the noisy/NSL section, We too have been given block R.
I never had you down as a persistant stander upper.

Surely a man of your standing should know a man who knows a man who can pull a few strings for you mate Maybe he should give his ticket to the child and gain admission for doing rather than commentating on half time broomstick penalties!!!

The only problem with us being spread out down the touchline, as opposed to behind the goals, is the coordination of songs and chants. From past experience when we've been spread out like this it has been shambolic..

How far is it from the train station to the ground? Few pointers seeing as there are plenty who haven't been before....
1. On the train? You can get the tram into town from right outside the train station, or it's a ten minute walk into town through an area best described as Birkby on acid.
2. In town, you've got the Regal Moon Wetherspoons which is a minute from the tram stop. Or the Baum, harder to find on Toad Lane, but an award winning pub serving ales from around the world. Good food too.
3. If you like Tim Taylors, head for The Flying Horse - walk past Regal Moon towards the recently opened river. Turn left at Nat West and it's 100 yards on the left facing our famous town hall.
Taxi to the ground will take 15 minutes with the traffic and cost about £3.50. Taxi rank is outside Regal Moon.
Coming by road?
With Bradford playing Oldham, J20 will be busy, but City take the 1st exit whereas you'll be in the outside lane turning right. The lights are shit though letting through about 6 cars in one go. As someone else said J21 Milnrow is an option, but that means driving through town which can get grid-locked.
Canny drivers will go past Rochdale to J19, take 3rd exit and approach the ground from Heywood. This is the equivalent of us avoiding Ainley Top and coming to you via J25 but without the shite Cooper Bridge traffic islands. Coming in this way will also put you on the right side of the ground for street parking and will mean you avoid the hour long queue to rejoin the M62 at J20. A task so arduous that a Leeds fan once fell asleep at the wheel 2 years ago causing untold hold ups until Police woke him up.
All in all, we think we're a good away day. Loads of pubs near the ground including one on the car park. If any of your lot come into the home ends you'll be fine if you respect the situation - something Oldham seem incapable of. You've also got the best stand in the ground with great acoustics and at £22 - our everyday price whoever is in town - you'll most likely get your money's worth.
By this does he mean approaching Rochdale from the north/top side of Rochdale golf club along the A680? Seems a bit of a long way round if he does. Anyone?

It does look a long way round but as a Town fan leaving in Rochdale it will save time getting away after the game and back to the M62. You will queue for ages getting back to J20 all the way from the ground. Go past the golf club on your right towards the ground and park as near as you can facing back up Edenfield Road so you have a quick get away back to J19.

Yes - to the top of Queens Park Road traffic lights. Turn right at the top and then bear left at the next traffic lights, and follow the road for a couple of miles to Edenfield Road. Then down Edenfield Road and past the Golf Club etc. Should be plenty of places to park.

Is there supposed to be a decent chippy near the ground? If so, what's is it called and where is it?
Is it good?

Looks like Best way to go is set your sat nav to Rochdale fc via heywood cricket club, leave at j19, at end of Queen's Park road turn right then left into Noreen road, keep going, past Rochdale golf club to the pharmacy on right then park on streets to left or right. Looks feasible on google maps anyway.....

Chippy is on Willbutts Lane 10 yards from the away stand and is very good! Directions are correct just replace Noreen Road with Norden Road! Very wet here this morning, forecast rain right through to KO.

Everyone was allocated a seat today yet we had about 5 too many on our row, the stairs were full of people as well, why couldn't people just sit/stand in/at their seats
