Thank goodness for the middle block so my 6 year old could see most of the match and Mr Waterhouse, who left his wheelchair under the stand, would have seen most of it too!!

By this does he mean approaching Rochdale from the north/top side of Rochdale golf club along the A680? Seems a bit of a long way round if he does. Anyone? It does look a long way round but as a Town fan leaving in Rochdale it will save time getting away after the game and back to the M62. You will queue for ages getting back to J20 all the way from the ground. Go past the golf club on your right towards the ground and park as near as you can facing back up Edenfield Road so you have a quick get away back to J19. This worked a treat today. Straight in, grabbed the victory, straight out. Back in Harrogate by 6.10.pm. It was like the raid on Entebbe! Thanks to Rochdale fan (and others) for the heads up.

Everyone was allocated a seat today yet we had about 5 too many on our row, the stairs were full of people as well, why couldn't people just sit/stand in/at their seats Nothing to do with boozing..........

Still no reason to block all the stairwells and push people out their seats If it had of been bottom lip and his kids they would have been battered 😂😂😂

Thank goodness for the middle block so my 6 year old could see most of the match and Mr Waterhouse, who left his wheelchair under the stand, would have seen most of it too!! Did the club allocate purchases bought with junior and oap tickets into this block? Because it appeared that 99% of folk in the middle section did actually want to sit down (shock horror, but yes some people wanted to be able to see the game). If not, have they got the ability to do this for future games? Understandly most people taking young kids and the elderly would rather sit whilst others would prefer to stand and then there's some who are easy either way. It's mixing the two together that causes problems and surely it's possible to allocate jnr & oap ticket purchases into specific sections, in the same way NSL sometimes get allocated an area. It will obviously get harder as more tickets are bought but for early purchases I don't see why it can't be done.

I specifically asked to be in a section where I expected to stand, and did!

And Town would have to be very careful not to "advertise" standing sections and thus flouting ground regs at other clubs.

I specifically asked to be in a section where I expected to stand, and did! Yes I know. I nearly put that but I think you'll agree that on the whole the vast vast majority of jnr/oap would prefer to sit and it would cause a lot less agro overall... plus a few individuals moving to a standing area is a lot easier than families trying to move to somewhere seated. Where it wouldn't work is if clubs only offer an under 18 ticket and not under 13, 8, 5 etc..

To be perfectly honest I would prefer the option to sit, however with a side on allocation like yesterday I prefer a central up near the back viewing position. I do NOT want to be at the front wherever we go, unless like at QPR we have the upper tier. Difficult, but i'll stand if I have to.
