So we didn't stand up to be counted against Brighton or Leeds or Reading? Stop talking out of your fucking arse, you sound like a whiny teenager. We gave it a good go and came up short after conceding the first goal which was so important - accept it, man up and move on. Why, cos I expressed an opinion on tonight's game? Stop being a wet blanket. Tonight was a massive chance to close in on Brighton, we blew it, we didn't deserve to lose but when the chance was there we didn't take it. You can say what you want about the ref but the bottom line is Newcastle won an important 3 points. You can all say Newcastle are unimpressive and say that Brighton are bottling it but they are 11 and 6 points in front of us now respectively, think we'd all swap places with them right now. Wet blanket? I'm not the one moaning like a stuck record. Do you have them saved on your computer for a copy and paste job? Your patter is fucking pathetic, you're such a reactionary droaning c*** that can't wait to moan to high heaven as soon as a result goes against us. We lost a game, so fucking what. We're having the season of our lives. Pull your head out of your arse and enjoy your Saturday night, Brighton lost against a shite Forest so we're still bang in the mix. By the way my comment said nowt about either the ref or Newcastle so why you invent those straw men to attack me with I have no idea.

We lost that and didn't win at Barnsley because of bad luck Newcastle beat Brighton and us through a ridiculous amount of luck I really hope we don't lose in the play offs due to similar circumstances. Yes every time you lose its because of bad luck and every other time a rival wins it's because they're playing hoofball which is no match for Huddersfield Town's (snigger) superior brand of total football. All this coming from a set of fans that hold Andy Booth as a club legend. Get back in your bin. If 'all they did was hoof it forward', what does that say about your team that conceded 3? Lol. We're trying to have civilised conversations on here, get back under the house.

Anyone able to explain why the heck Loewe let a high ball bounce and made no attempt to challenge for it, giving their guy time and space that ultimately helped them get their 2nd goal?

Highlights are on channel 5 now. Definitely NOT a penalty. He trips over his own feet and there doesn't seem to be any touch from Wells. A certain handball from Shelvey immediately before it anyway so it should be academic. It is also clear that Ward had the ball under control. He had it clasped against his midrift with one hand (which has already been established earlier in this thread means that he has it under control). Very unlucky that two huge decisions went against us. The first goal was huge and it was given to them by the ref. the unlucky bit only works to a certain point.. its not unlucky that anything we got on target was from distance..some from a very long distance.. we play a very hard game to make clear cut close in chances..(we didnt really make any today)... sometimes the get it wide, get it in might work better..ie; we score.. going oooh and aaah as we shoot from miles out or hit something akin to a back pass or into the crowd is wearing thin, a bit.. Im very happy with our position and the season but am aware we wont score enough for auto and then have to have 3 very tight play off games to stand a good chance.. Its a tough call.. hope we can do it...

Had Newcastle not been given the two goals by the ref then they wouldn't have sat with all ten men in their third of the pitch. It was clear that their game plan was to sit back and deny us space but when they had a lead to defend it made it even harder for us. If we had taken the lead (which the ref denied us the chance to do) then they would have opened up and we would have created much more.

I think we needed an old fashioned Boothy type centre forward (like Murphy) so we could bomb the box a bit more and get our nuts on a few for 15 minutes. Totally agree, but we only have Colin for plan B, and on 70 I'd have gone Colin and took Nahki off and bombed them. Problem is Colin against City couldn't win a header to save his life Coll is a good un - but he's not a lob it in the box and challenge the centre half type.

No way. Rhodes wouldn't have had a sniff today, we didn't create any of the type of chances Rhodes scores, and he doesn't create any himself. We had not target man. Where did all the shots come from? Not quite sure what you mean. Rhodes isn't a target man. All the shots came from players shooting?

Joe, What did you think of the two's performances today? I got stuck into Shevey against Brighton because I thought he was lazy defensively. Today he at least appeared to be marking someone, (didn't come within a bulls roar of anyone against Brighton) but doesn't look like he can tackle to save himself. I personally think whatever Shevey's valued at Mooy must be worth at least as much. This is not the end of the section as far as automatic promotion for the Terriers as far as I'm concerned, we can still get second spot. Every time Shelvey got the ball he just hoofed it first time. Didn't control possession for Newcastle at all. Thought he had an excellent game - his defending in front of the box meant we didn't get through once. An unusual role for him. Don't think it was planned but we forced him in to it. Showed a good discipline in the role. Great ball forward for the Newcastle second.

We played very well but we didn't actually have any clear chances.

If we don't go up this season, we'll be fighting relegation next. Wagner will leave for prem.

Chill man, we've got 65 fecking points, with a quarter of the season still to play. It wouldn't surprise me if you were willing us to finish 7th on GD the way you go on after most games, even ones we win...

At least we put the Mooy/Shelvey comparison to rest. Joe, What did you think of the two's performances today? I got stuck into Shevey against Brighton because I thought he was lazy defensively. This is not the end of the section as far as automatic promotion for the Terriers as far as I'm concerned, we can still get second spot. Well I thought Shelvey was fairly disciplined in a defensive role that he wasn't that comfortable in. Good ball for Murray but it should never have been a goal creating chance. Mooy was the best player on the pitch as usual. I think he lost it once in the match. The only thing that potentially lets his value down are his age: 26.5 and his set pieces. He'll be worth between £10 & £15m I'd say.
