NUFC Index nufc _Index 2h2 hours ago Fair play to #HTAFC - easily the best side we’ve come up against this season. We’ve been immense defensively though tonight #nufc It's easy to say that when you've just mugged someone in their own back yard. We were done up like a bloater. Still doesn't alter the fact that Gayle's celebrations were uncalled for. He'll get his cummupance one day. Not a nice person IMO.

Just stating the obvious mate. I love Wagners philosophy but he's a tit. I'd describe someone who signs up to an opposition message board in order to slag off their manager much more of a tit. It's a little bit sad though to be honest. Don't you have anything better to do?

Art the contrary one... You're becoming a bit like Marcus is in OT... Chill man, we've got 65 fecking points, with a quarter of the season still to play. It wouldn't surprise me if you were willing us to finish 7th on GD the way you go on after most games, even ones we win... Too right I am...I'll be on here Tuesday giving it both barrells after Villa beat us. What was it you said about sarcasm in the written format? You sir are a doylum

We had not target man. Where did all the shots come from? Not quite sure what you mean. Rhodes isn't a target man. All the shots came from players shooting? Rhodes isn't a target man? Really? Remember the time under Clarke?

We are the best footballing side in this league and everyone knows it. Loads of points to be played for, we were always going to lose the odd game before the end of the season and Newcastle was always going to be the most likely loss (Played them off the park). Mid table nothingness to play against, we're better than everyone we have left to play. In our hands.

Wagner's post-match response to a defeat is always honest and humble and measured. He is such a class act and I fucking love the guy. Class.

Just stating the obvious mate. I love Wagners philosophy but he's a tit. We've got used to pathetic little morons from Beeston and Massive spouting their bullshit and bile on here and find it mildly amusing - we've also had BHA and a few NUFC fans come on and make fair (and complimentary) posts which have been welcomed but you need to take a look at yourself. A Newcastle fan posing as a Town fan and having digs at us and heaping praise on Gayle, Colback etc on half a dozen threads - tinpot and pathetic, I thought Geordies where football people, what are you, a secret Mackem ? Come on here and gloat if you want, you won but you've got as much class as a typical Leeds fan and it really is sad and pathetic, by the way talking to a couple of Geordies after the game who didn't pretend to support Town, they both said "Delighted with the 3 points but thought the style of play was a DISGRACE." You will no doubt go back to the PL, we may join you, we may well miss out but on a tiny fraction of your transfer and wage budget, with a stadium that would fit twice into yours we at least play football in the way that any normal Geordie fan would like to see their team play.

Facts... 1 - the most one sided game I've ever seen us lose despite dominating. 2 - still annoyed about Coleman going up (I know the goal doesn't matter because our goal difference is so bad anyway but the incident took the wind out of our sails when 5 mins is still a lot of chances to. S had) 3 - thankfully Brighton lost so we are still only 3 points behind them if we win our game in hand. 4 - I now firmly believe we are the best, strongest team in the league, we just need more converted chances. 5 - we had 4 really good chances from 25 yards... why don't we try that more often?!? 6 - if we had scored first and forced Newcastle to attack us we would have had a field day. 7 - they tired after 40 minutes. 8 - Brighton play derby this week who have hit form recently.

Point 5 - I felt all season that we should be doing more of this - especially with Nakhi being a great goal poacher for the knock downs. We dont encourage enough mistakes with long shots

I'm fucking livid for various reasons, at Town, they worked hard but no end product, the ref terrible, Danny Ward never rated him. Big crowd in and we blow it just like we have done on every occasion in the past, something I thought we'd stopped doing, evidently not. Except the games against Leeds... oh and Brighton... ah and the pretty good display against Citeee with the second team... and the multi-million players of Derby... and Reading... Not forgetting Norwich away.......

Having watched the highlights (on my phone), how did they get away with that smash and grab?
Shelvey handball looked to be in Refs eye line as well.
2 big punts for the other 2, though to be fair we'd have done the same for the third.
The only reason there's a gap of 11 points is more likely to do with the maturity of the teams & that element of luck which hasn't been forthcoming for Town. Add the implosion at Fulham & possibly Preston and without those things might be a little different.
But 65 points, in third & in comparison to where some other teams are, we can't be too disappointed. This team gives it 100% every game and that's far more than we've been used to for many a yr...
