I thought the same thing this afternoon, managed to book a central London hotel for 2 nights for £88! You can bet that price will treble in a few weeks time when the play off spots are sewn up.

It's also the London 10k on the Monday morning of the final, which attracts approaching 15000 entrants plus support, those making a weekend of it will be booking hotels about now I'd think.


(It's sold out, although I'm trying to grab one of our free club entries ...I like the idea of doing the race to blow off a bit of energy ahead of a final, I never really enjoyed any of them yet because of being too pumped)

Even more bizarrely we have never lost a first leg match, or won a second leg match, in our 8 playoff attempts.

We have, of course, gone through after winning the resultant penalty shootout of the tie, in 2 of those second legs.

I also expect that if it's us v Sheff Weds (or vice versa) that the police will want it as a midday Sunday kick off rather than a Saturday evening.

That is only a provisional schedule though, won't be confirmed until after Sunday's games due to uncertainty as to who'll be playing who.

Also the tie I think we'd have the best chance in.

Reading not winning, and us & Massive winning would be perfect.

We finish 4th and wipe the floor with Reading over the two legs, and we can have a mass pitch invasion at the end.

Whereas Massive & Fulham play each other three times in a week and a half, and kick lumps out of each other.

We then win the final 1-0.

Simples.
