He's nowhere near their first team so will be coming on loan to us for at least one more season Meh, loans are so last season.

Really annoys me they're still allowing Chelsea to do this. Reckon a player should be able to do a maximum of 1 season on loan in a top division before they are forced to either stick them in their squad or sell. E.g. If he comes to us this season they have to get shot next Summer

I am hoping that this was something they wanted to complete before sending him on loan again and that we can get it confirmed soon.

I must say this changes things for me. I'd rather we signed Brown on a permanent than loan Palmer.
There is no point in developing a rival clubs players.

I get the preference for perms, but 'no point'. Loans were a huge part in getting us promoted. A Huddersfield fan should be about the last fan in the world to say this.

We are hardly rivals of Chelsea at this point. They are not ready to sell him yet so he is probably going on loan somewhere. Would rather it was with us than someone else.

Yes but we didn't loan from clubs in the same division. No more small town mentality for me

I have no issue with Palmer signing a contract but this ability to hoard players and loan them out season after season is not good for the game. How many was it last season? 40+? Bit of a joke really.

However it surprises me how many players are willing to let that happen although it probably just comes down to money for most.

not sure how long was left on his contract, 12 months probably ? They see the potential, don't want him to go on a free next year...so why not sign him up.. he's now secure for 4 years, which is what he deserves...what happens now is they loan him to us again for a season...all good I reckon. he gets premier league experience which he won't get at chelsea bar the odd game...everybody is happy.

Just signed a 4 year contract this time next year he'll have 3 years left and year after 2 years And he still won't be anywhere near first team . All there doing is hording players to then sell on .

If we did try and sign him, wouldn't a tribunal come in to effect due to his age

He won't play for Chelsea. Surprised KP45 has renewed when surely he knows the same.

I think he will. I'm sure he will back himself to. I think he will go on to be a full international. Special player.

Both good players. Brown has the physicality but Palmer is the more technically gifted.

I'm not bothered tbh, Izzy is much better. No he isn't, a Nick. Kasey was better for us than Izzy, even if both played a massive part last season. Both top talents but Kasey has more in his locker without a doubt. Why am I even debating with you? You're not all there pal.

Palmer on loan, please, and Brown permanent.
