^^good post, and is where I am with more than 20 years on you...so this is deeply engrained in society! The media angle shouldn't be ignored. I'm sure when I've been on holidays in France and Italy, the footballing stories are on the back page, their national teams are followed by sports journalists, whereas in this country there's also the "news"/"entertainment" angle. I'm not sure if a Swedish player who plays in Sweden getting done for drink driving during an international break would get national newspaper and TV coverage and be the topic of conversation for 4 or 5 days on rolling sports and regular news stations? Our club has come from a different background to that weird bubble that the Premier League seems to be. The morning of the play off final in Cardiff, I walked to buy a paper and found Peter Jackson and Terry Yorath walking back the other way. Has anyone ever just bumped into Jose Mourinho out shopping ??! Our promotion to the Premier League was celebrated with the players going out in Huddersfield and getting rat arsed with the fans. Leicester won the Premier League and they all got a new car. You're absolutely right. The over-celebritization of modern footballers does nothing but widen the gap between the players and the fans. The papers aren't reporting on the football as much as they are reporting on what the footballers are doing, what they're buying, who they're shagging.... This in turn creates a need for footballers to be overly PC with what they do and say, which results in everything being the same - sterile interviews, punditry with no personality and yet more distance between the sport and the 'real' fans. It's sad really. I think we are an exception to that rule at Huddersfield (and I'm sure there are others), and long may that continue.

Thought he made a real impact when he came on v Soton, sooner he is fit the better. We need all available options.

Sorry if posted elsewhere but does anybody know if he’s near fit again possibly after the international break maybe?. Think we miss his creativity.

At least the international breaks means he's not missing as many games...

Livermore is championship level. Not as good as Bannan or Cairney and outclassed by Mooy.

One thing that stands out is they all seem to be enjoying it, having fun and together. No Billy big Balls here.

Found plenty of time and space in a first half in which Town dominated possession, but find themselves 1-0 down. He's not busting a gut, and I can't blame him.
Lolley did nothing after opening ten minutes.
