The club introduced a cheap, affordable option for getting ticket priority last season. I've been in the blue and white for years, for many factors but one of those is to safeguard ticket priority - even though it has hardly ever been needed, but it gives you peace of mind for some fixtures where we know we will take a few (Leeds for example). The TOT scheme was initially unfair in the way it prioritised over Patrons and B&W, but this was rectified within 24 hours. Some people sensibly took up the TOT offer as quite clearly the Patrons & B&W don't suit all. The option was there for every fan to buy it - to give them peace of mind on away tickets - for a measly £20. If you couldn't bear to part with £20 - when you are a regular away supporter (where the cost of a day out is significant, then you're daft / too tight for your own good. It's obviously not about the £20,as you say the cost of a going away is significant.I imagine a lot of people didn't pay on principle.

This thread is doing my head in. I consider myself lucky to have got my SC. for the ridiculous price I have. I shall be able to watch all home games .Away games might not always be accessible but with a bit of luck and goodwill I will manage to watch some on Sky, courtesy of my daughter.
Barring that I have like us all MOTD to enjoy. I intend to enjoy every bloody minute of this season. It has been a long time coming.
Really time to stop the moaning and whining.

I understand you have your own business and have a reasonable standard of living and fair play to you Mel you came on here the other week ( almost boasting about it I felt ) saying you weren't going to the Wednesday home game in the play offs because you had better things to do, town were shit the season had got boring ( granted I'm paraphrasing here) Maybe you might want to donate your priority one privilege to a teenager who lives breathes and bleeds blue n white but is in category 4 ?

sean.jarvis@htafc.com tell him how much you appreciate your decades of loyal support through thin and thinner being valued less than a £20 note or agreeing to move seats. the more people who tell him this, the more likely they are to realise what a mess theyve made of it and actually put something fair into practice. Are you category three? If you are then put your chuffing dummy back in and enjoy the bloody season. I bet Hoyle wished he hadn't even bothered Yes. Excuse me for being pissed off Ill almost certainly not be able to see us play at any of the big away games as I didn't spend £20 on something i didn;t need a year ago. Must be hard for you to understand why that would be i guess.

Are "super priority" and P1 fans limited to just the one ticket per person?

Its not an easy thing to come up with a solution to and whatever they did, some people wopuld be pissed off, but fuck me, i had to read it 5 times before i could take in what an utter shambles of a decision they came to. Over the years I've posted more on the subject of away ticket allocation than any other subject. I remain critical of the club that they didn't introduce a scheme for monitoring away attendance years ago. Whilst it was a poor decision on their part, I never expected it to bite them on the arse to this extent. I'm not getting into an argument with you (I recognise the futility of that) and have some sympathy with your points. You've typed loads in reply to my post Captain (and loads more since), but you didn't answer my two simple questions so I've put them in bold now. I'd be interested in your answers. Doesn't that count as loyal? Serious question, if you go to as many away games as your post suggests why on earth didn't you get TOT membership last year ? Im missed these questions yesterday. yes it does count as loyal, though IMO its harsh on a fan who had to miss a season for some reason. A better idea would have said those who have had, say 10 SCs in the last 12 seasons for Priority 1 or something like that. The TOT shouldn't even come into it. I go to about 6 or 7 away games a season usually these days. Used to do 15-20 when i had more time. I didn't bother with a TOT because i knew i wouldn't need it, and i didn't. If id wanted to go to just about every away game, i still wouldn't have needed it. but thats irrelevent anyway IMO, as why should buying that have any bearing on this season, when this season is so unforeseen? catagory 2 is my big gripe. Three years support!! And that puts you ahead of fans who've been going for DECADES just because you spent £20 on something you didn't really need?? I said all along, that this was a very difficult thing for the club to do fairly and whatever they do some will be pissed off and think its unfair. Just IMO by giving so much emphasis to that £20 TOT membership they have come up with a really poor solution that is clearly unfair to way more people than it should be. And in particular the long standing supporters.

I can't decide whether this is a bug or a feature of the scheme - there are bound to be a significant number of P1s who will be put off by not being able to sit by or even go with family and friends with lower or no priority (think wtd has alluded to this previously). FWIW, I think the priority problem will only be acute for 4 games - OT, Anfield, Goodison (borderline) and Palace (a one off cos it's first).

This is something where people were always going to be upset. I just feel the club have upset the biggest bunch they could. But like I say they were never going to get it right for everyone it's impossible.
I hope the purchase time for priorities is short so it gives everyone a chance.
In my opinion P2 should have been P1 without TOT or B&W. I know a lot of fans would have been in this category but it would have been the loyal fans getting tickets on a first come first serve.
I don't mind the ballot at all. It gives new fans a chance. It doesn't make them glory fans. They could be young just starting to watch town or been away at university for years or abroad and come back down the pecking order

I think the club have operated in good faith and I'm not going to slate them for it.. but I think they've been misguided to be honest... they get most things right so hey ho... what I don't get is some of the comments from people trying to justify some of it ... there seems to be a lot of smugness on this board at present ( and I accept that there has been over the top whining also ) which just gets people's backs up Ted You know that I'm passionate on this subject and I've banged on and on about it for years (& unfortunately & possibly unwisely it was on and on and on and on). All I ever wanted was a system to be introduced that rewarded those who go away regularly. The club should have done so. Whilst a miliion miles away from perfect TOT was a step down those lines (& TBH can't really understand why anyone wouldn't buy one). I'm not trying to be smug (and I hope you've read enough from me over the years to recognise that), I wanted a fair system. What we've got isn't entirely and I fully fully accept that & I have great sympathy for those on the wrong side of any line (if they've been regular away attendees). For the future the club simply has to introduce a method of recording away attendance (with no credit for going to the likes of Liverpool & Man United it will be a priveledge to be there and you shouldn't be further rewarded). Those outside category 1 will get tickets for some games easily (the last time I was at Swansea there were 134 of us) and it will not take long for a more appropriate pecking order to be established. The system should be regularly monitored and tweaked. EDIT Apologies misquoted again can't see what I'm doing wrong.

I was playing in a golf comp on the day of the play off semi, and I'm category 2 as it happens, but if I can help out a genuine friend in need of a ticket at some point, I probably will. I don't pay to be in all the clubs, or for all the perks. Just the ones that will benefit me.

I decided my best opportunity for a ticket for Palace was my CP supporting mate, so I'm sat in the Sainsbury's (Whitehorse Lane) end. The Holmesdale End and Main Stand at Palace are sold out, limited seats in Arthur Wait stand near the front still available.

How can anybody earn any stripes if they are not high up the current priority list? The current priority list doesn't take account of me watching Town home and away since 1962-3. My arms are really stripey. Do I get a demerit point for overwatching - like give everybody else a turn. Some people will though as not everyone will want to go to every away game, so lower categories will get chance. The club need to make a note of who has travelled and to how many games. I'm priority 1 but I won't be going to games like Bournemouth and Southampton as I just can't be arsed travelling all that way. Perhaps. I'm P4 and Bournemouth, Southampton and the southern games will be easiest for me. So the stripes will be distorted by where a fan is located. All the home matches are "away games" for Southern Terriers but no stripes are earned for our mileage! Think it would be a fair bargain if Southern Terriers get priority for London games while "home" Terriers get priority for Manchester/Liverpool games 😩

I couldn't complain when I loose the option to go in the SS because I didn't, know about or, respond in time for ticket trade!

Club are going to announce the numbers in cat 1 and 2 next week so at least there can be some facts rather than speculation. It may, or may not, be as bad as some think. If only 700 super priority tickets were sold for Man City then would this not indicate there aren't 1000's of ToT members with season tickets? Take out of that number any that haven't had a season ticket for 3 years, or have had one for 10, and P2 is possibly going to be quite small? It seems to be the clubs way to try recognise people who bought the clubs away membership and are also regular customers (ok 3 years isn't a lot for some of us but it's not 5 mins either). I wonder if the reason there is not a further 10 year banding before the 3 year one is to avoid appearing to go overboard on the 4000 and risk appearing to exclude more recent members of the flock. Or maybe the difference in numbers isn't that huge between 3 and 10 years. The flock only really started with the new cheap season ticket era so going back 3 years makes sense to include folk who were prepared to pay full whack when crowds were in the 12,000 bracket. I had a card 4 years ago, but bought Take 10, 3 years ago, and that puts me in P4. No complaints.

I went to 19 others without needing it and the ones I missed you didn't need it. Just think the priorities are weird. Don't get my wrong I agree with P1. Like you say tho my P2 wouldn't be fair on people who go to lots of away games.

Just remember less than 2 seasons ago when my lower tier S/Tkt was £399 we struggled to shift 8000. In less than 24 months we're now squeezing another 12,000 into that demand and everyone ( rightly so ) wants a piece of the greedy league.
We're generally speaking a bunch of moaning, tight arsed gits who wont pay this and wont pay that, this board of full of such tales from pricing home and away and Friday's announcement has just added fuel to the fire for many caught in P3 / P4.

For those lucky enough to be able to afford it, joining the b&w during the play offs was surely a bit of a no brainer.
The scramble for (some) away tickets and the fact that b&w puts you up the pecking order isn't much of a surprise.

I think everyone is limited to 1 ticket apart from, bizarrely, those in the ballot who will be entitled to 2 ! That will be a very small pot of tickets from 150 to 350 for the first half dozen games, so as little as 75 to 175 people could win the ticket lotto!

My mate stopped is B&W & joined TOT last year, he thought it had been scrapped, but was hoping Deans loyal's would be P1/2 or he could re-join B&W, when he found out on Friday he said 'Doesn't seem fair, but i'm £188 better off in 2 seasons'. Don't know how many other TOT stopped B&W/Patrons memberships, but I do know B&W (£104 pa) is still open, TOT (£20 one off life) was closed pretty quickly..

Why did I factor in away ticket priority when subscribing to B&W? Clearly with the benefit of hindsight, the notion that not getting TOT was a no brainer, is incorrect. Well done to all those that took a punt on it, it's paid off massively for them.

Can someone clarify, if you had a T.O.T card and a season ticket last season are you in P1, or P2.
I was led to believe I was in P2.

People are questioning why some didn't get tot last season... isn't it obvious? There wasn't a need to because over the years how often have you missed out on away allocations without something like this?
I have had a season ticket for well over 10 years now but never been part of the b&wf or had any other perks yet I usually get to quite a few away games each season and have never had an issue buying an away ticket. I have been to Chelsea, Newcastle, Leeds, villa, Wednesday, Cheltenham etc. Etc.
THE only time I have been unable to get a ticket for an away game was Wednesday play-off game last year. Previous recentish play-off campaigns I've been away to Bournemouth and MK dons without any issue at all.
Even though I couldn't get a ticket for Wednesday my dad was priority 1 (b&wf + season ticket) so gave me his ticket and unfortunately couldn't then go himself. He will be priority 4 next year because even though he's only missed one or two seasons out of the 10, one was 2 years ago even though he went to pretty much every game except the midweek games and the away midweek games in london he went to.
So again, if you are serious about going away, why didn't you get tot or another perk? Simple answer - IT'S NEVER BEEN NEEDED BEFORE!

Can someone clarify, if you had a T.O.T card and a season ticket last season are you in P1, or P2. I was led to believe I was in P2. To be P1 you need 10 years season tickets as well as either B&W or TOT. For P2 you need to have had a season ticket from 2015-16 as well as either of those. If you had a season ticket for the first time last year then I think that makes you P4
