The less games he plays for Oz the better If you'd been following the other Mooy thread you'd know that if they'd drawn against Japan they'd have virtually qualified; by losing they've left themselves open to ending up in the play-offs and possibly four more games. Be careful what you wish for. |

I've always liked Crowded House. Remember falling in love with Distant Sun on a compilation and working backwards. Yep, great band and the Finn brothers have done some decent stuff together as well. It seems criminally underrated, Distant Sun, but I guess they had the albatross of Weather With You. Some gorgeous lines in there in the longing genre ("I don't pretend to know what you want but offer love" - something of the helplessness we've all felt at some stage in our lives) |

Kirsty Young has done some great Desert Island Discs; she seems to get people at ease so very quickly, and they open up to her - moreso than the archival ones I listen to from time to time (Sue Lawley etc)
