According to the BBC:
Newly-promoted Huddersfield have agreed a club record £10m fee with Manchester City for Aaron Mooy.
Mooy, 26, spent last season on loan at Huddersfield and manager David Wagner is intent on making the deal permanent.
It is thought the transfer will be made up of an £8m payment, plus a further £2m in add-ons.
There are also buy-back and sell-on clauses.
Mooy joined City from Australian club Melbourne City 12 months ago.

Shit me if that's true.
I never thought I'd see the day (though I still frame what I think is a big transfer fee by Chris Sutton moving to Blackburn...)
Will be interesting to see how much we end up spending over the coming months

Until it's on the OS (or Man City's OS) then nothing is confirmed. The buy back and sell on clauses don't surprise me though.

Everyone seems to be reporting it. Only matters when the club do.

Great news and shows great intent. Surprised we spent that much on any transfer but glad we did. Would not surprise me if this was the first prerequisite on the list DW gave DH for him staying on as manager hence the huge outlay.

I wonder if it was a condition or part of DWs new contract that we would do what we could to keep Mooy

Very pleased about this. Definitely the right place for his career.

We must have had a pre-loan agreement as others said when he joined.
After last season there is no way we'd be paying him the most weekly.
Amazing piece of business if true and shows how switched on the team are behind the scenes to put such a deal in place.

Only around £160m left now and we still haven't got a goalkeeper, a striker or another centre back. Sort it out Town!
Worried!

So reading that, fees agreed but he hasn't actually agreed terms and signed yet??
Must be a formality though.

as i said on previous threads weeks/months ago, 8m Yup, it was reported in Oz media (in an article that I can never find again) that we had a conditional (on promotion) deal valued at 12 or 13m agreed months ago. I think a lot of folk just speculated that was the £ value, and seemed out of our range, but it's actually "about £8m".

The announcement stated we have agreed a fee with Man City, no mention of agreeing terms with Aaron Mooy, let's hope the deal has been finalised - UTT.

The announcement stated we have agreed a fee with Man City, no mention of agreeing terms with Aaron Mooy, let's hope the deal has been finalised - UTT. I don't think we'd have gone to the effort of agreeing a fee if he had no intention of returning. I suspect his terms were agreed before he disappeared and then it was down to Town and City to agree a fee
