I think we will BADLY miss someone to close down from the front with the pace of someone like Wells. I also think Wells could go on a scoring run with better players around him. Admittedly he finished the season desperately lacking goals but my word he played well in the play offs. Mounie is quicker than Wells

What can Town do we've offered NW a contract, he so far has refused to sign the contract, Wagner has thrown down the gauntlet in saying we'd look at serious offers for Wells. Balls in Wells court to sign or we sell him to the highest bidder. I can't understand a player who would want to leave when we've made it to the Premier League, it's what you play for surely. Dean Hoyle won't mess about with Wells if he refuses to sign, he's not going to let him walk for nothing in 12 months time.

To be honest I think Wells will prosper at Reading. Playing alongside Kermorgant will suit him. To me he signifies the last of the team from the Powell and Robins era. He never stepped his game up in the way Hogg and Smith did under DW. He always tried and scored some good goals for town but his time here is up. Even if we weren't in the premier league I would still be saying that. Thanks Nahki but it's time to cash in and go separate ways

Wells not in the squad for Austria, apparently left behind because of his ankle.

Nakhi should not fear any of the pre mentioned pecking order of top money signings as Wagner shows no player favouritism.
Cannot work out why he wont sign a new contract as this would be a golden opportunity to prove himself at Premier league level

Think we're missing something here - NW hasn't signed a contract This! I can't see any other outcome now, DH is not to be messed with and I'm sure he's now trying to secure the best deal possible for HTAFC. He is after all a business man and a very good one at that. Shame for the lad but such is like!

Mounie is quicker than Wells What would you let him go for? 5 million would be a fair price with only 12 months left

You don't miss such an important team bonding trip such as this merely because your ankle's playing up. You just don't.
Something's afoot. (See what I did, there?)

A whole £900k on a 10m deal paid in installments, half up front and the rest over the contract. Woo, how far we have come, finally, finally.

Nakhi didn't sign the contract offered months ago and only has 12 months left on his contract. As I see it Nakhi has 3 options available to him.
1. Stay and fight for a place and go in January for a much reduced fee. 2. Stay and fight for a place and walk for free in 12 months, no doubt picking up an over inflated signing on fee. 3. Leave now, providing a club wants him, and most likely earn similar to what he's on now.
Town can't make him leave as he could just refuse the personal terms offered by a club they've agreed a deal Town. The ball is in Nakhis court. Maybe not the court he'd originally hoped it would be, but has to decide what to is best and weigh up the risks/rewards.
