Is Garth Crooks a Brighton fan? Unsure how a rather fortunate point at Stoke can warrant two players in the team of the week. Not that it matters. Can't recall a insightful or intelligent comment from any of the Beebs PL coverage this season..

Pointless team by a pointless pundit.

Can't recall a insightful or intelligent comment from any of the Beebs PL coverage this season.. I've come to the conclusion that he is London-centric. Brighton is London-by-the-sea for a weekend break, so they are London medias fairy tale. Garth is a good example of this.

I don’t usually take offence at his team, just find his constant selection of Dunk or Duffy each time they keep a clean sheet laughable. But this week to not select any of our players, after winning 4-1 in a game which most pundits said we had to win and gave us little or no chance in, is ridiculous.

Bravo is his keeper despite just about the only thing he did being run out and miss the ball. Dier is in the back line after one of the easiest afternoons he'll ever have and has Robertson, the left back, as a midfielder. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43189772

Van la Parra is the other Town player that can be selected, where on Earth are Williams and Hogg?

Hoggy got on a plane, put on a Scotland shirt and starred in their win over England then did a triathlon Sunday morning.

Funny how the pundits don’t even pick up on Hogg when I know that he has been cast an eye over for something that would make huddersfield fans very proud.

"which has almost certainly provided Brighton with a second season in the Premier League" Has it? I like Brighton. A very decent club and manager. They have parallels to ourselves in coming back from extinction, now owned by a supportive manger. Remember though Brighton is effectively 'London-by-the-sea' and so the London-centric media will always be more interested in them than some far-flung provincial mill-town North of the Watford gap. Brighton are a good news story right on London's doorstep. Garth Crooks suffers from this. Glenn Murray probably deserves to be in the team of the week, but it is not a coincidence that he seems to have a Brighton player in the team nearly every week (usually Lewis Dunk, even when Schindler out-performs him nearly every week, based on stats) as they are the local fairy-tale club.

Totally agree, the southern based media bias is alive and kicking. Just look how Bournemouth - probably the smallest ever club to get to the premier league - get portrayed compared to us.

The players he has put forward for creatinbg your own team of the week are ridiculous.
Kane didn't particularly have a good game. Alli was only really noticeable when he was diving. I streamed half of Liverpool-Newcastle. Trent Alexander-Arnold was awful for Liverpool. Several times he demonstrated that he couldn't pass it 5 yards under no pressure. Pickford made one very good save. He was also poor for at least 1 of Burnley's goals.
