Your original post was in the 'what if' thread on feb 21st 2017 at 5:56am The exact words were "Nothing to discuss. Mooy is the best player i have ever seen in a Town shirt...Billing is not even the best in our reserve midfield. Billing has peaked in my opinion, i was a huge fan when he was breaking through but his languid style has not improved. Sets off from a standing start like Capes pulling a 50 ton truck. Billing will be at the likes of Bury in a couple of years...odd when Inter were watching him." A couple of years on would be have been feb 21st 2019. But of course you already know all that I could not legislate for a panicked Muff coming in Said he would not be in the Prem in August before Chrimbo….lets see which new fools buy him. Lots in the window...nothing in the shop. Saw he went off as they went down today.

Today they lose and it's his fault? I never saw that opinion coming...

Seen a stat somewhere (on bbc comments section I think), that over the last 5 years, Bournemouth are in the top 10 for transfers paid in Europe.
Hardly think Howes done a great job keeping the plucky underdog punching above their weight based on that.

They've spent money but taking a team from league 2 and spending a reasonable tenure in the Prem is no mean feat. If there's a problem with Howe it's that he tries to play too much open attacking football and concedes too many goals as a result. It catches up with you if your main strike force don't come up with goods enough in a season or get injured.

Anyone half decent could’ve achieved 5 years in the prem with the budget and resources he’s had. £100M of players who never made it and didn’t even feature. It’s not just the funds you have it’s the ammount you can afford to waste. Bournemouth and Brighton make £10-20m signings that don’t feature. Doing that killed our chances. We needed everyone to come off.

Agreed. Will deservedly get a job in the premier league on his return deservedly? a manager who signed Phil Billing thinking he would improve them. Whatever Town fans opinions may be Billing played 35 games last season, the majority of them for the full 90 minutes or just less. He came on in their EFL Cup game for the penalty shoot out and scored. I have no way of telling whether they were better when he played or not but he got plenty of game time in the top division, more than he ever got with us.

I take it all back,I didn't know he could hit the net from 12 yards

The reasons Bornmuff went down are simple.
1. They wasted nearly £40m on Ibe and Solanke (£19m?! Seriously). 2. They kept the majority of the defence that served them in League’s 1&2, who are also ageing, not adequately replaced. 3. They bought Billing 😉
I can honestly see them slipping through the leagues if their Ruski backer gets cold feet. Ake and Wilson will get plucked, Fraser has gone. Not much talent left imo.

Wilson, King, Brookes, Ramsdale and Lewis Cook are all talented. Some of them will go but they will make loads of money from the sales. You can guarantee that they will have a much better squad than us next season. They just need to make the right appointment and they could do well. All three relegated teams will be in contention for the top two imo.

If Brookes stays with them and comes back to full form after injuries he could be one of the best in the Championship next season.

But you can guarantee none of them will have the same mentality as we did and offload all there better players and replace them with frees and loans.

His house was burgled Saturday night. Tens of thousands of pounds worth of jewellery and personal items stolen. Bastards. I've got every sympathy for him, no matter what I think of him as a footballer. We were burgled quite a few years ago, never caught them as far as I know. If they did catch them and put me in a room with them, only one of us would come out alive - scum of the earth, no sympathy for them at all.
