His house was burgled Saturday night. Tens of thousands of pounds worth of jewellery and personal items stolen. I suppose the suspects will be two middle aged white men with northern accents. ;-) I didn't think Phil and Dean would be that desperate to claw some money back.

Done well for a 15 year-old. Funny you said that. Howe always reminds me of a slightly grown up version of one of the boys in Enid Blyton's Famous Five books. Like hes just about to enjoy some cake and lashings of ginger beer.

Looking forward to seeing Billing playing down at Longfield Avenue in Golcar, now that the Bury 'phoenix' club has been admitted into the same division in the North West Counties League for this year. Should draw a decent crowd to watch him get scythed into little bits by the local lads!

Heads turned at 19. Why would you up your game when losing and giving in means you have 3 mill tucked away at 22? Balenciaga hoodie costing £600 when you are a nobody. Embarrassing if you have talent.

Wilson, King, Brookes, Ramsdale and Lewis Cook are all talented. Some of them will go but they will make loads of money from the sales. You can guarantee that they will have a much better squad than us next season. They just need to make the right appointment and they could do well. All three relegated teams will be in contention for the top two imo. Completely agree. Are either three bigger clubs than town, Norwich possibly. But you can guarantee none of them will have the same mentality as we did and offload all there better players and replace them with frees and loans. Did Norwhich spend anything this year? I think they basically banked the money and took a chance.

Should leave them in good nick for the season ahead having secure finances and hardly any billy big bollocks players who think they are to good for the championship.

He did an interview at Castle Hill wearing one....I have knowledge of haute couture prices as I used to have a side-line in second hand gear. If its not expensive the rich fools wont wear it.

There's rumours that Norwich are f****d financially. Think the main reason that they didn't spend anything was because they still owe loads, rather than a strategic decision. They made so many bad decisions when they were in the PL previously. Steven Naismith was apparently on a £55k a week contract with no relegation clause. In the season they were promoted he was on loan in Scotland and didn't play a game but still got £1m promotion bonus! Norwich are not the club to look at and admire their finances.

I thought it was a good few years ago they wernt looking great financially when they didnt bounce straight back up to the prem like they expected and spent two or three seasons in the champ. Sold there big players for good money then steadied the ship a bit and got promotion again. Certainly a better way of doing things than here.

I am not making excuses for all the mistakes, as there were plenty of things we seemed to proper fuck up. At the same time, you need to remember that we were coming from years in the wilderness, whilst most of the other teams like say Norwich, WBA and Fulham have pretty much consistently been in the top two divisions for years. They were always going to be better prepared.

True story, about four years ago my wife and I were returning from our cottage in Devon and decided to have a nosey around Sandbanks. As we got there we saw some guy walking about in a Town shirt. Maybe that was you.

I guess Norwich's challenge was their previous round of parachutes ended, they then played out a promotion season without having really got rid of the lingering high earners, and suffered a promotion bonus hit of >£35m loss. At the time they stated "no panic", and forecast a profit of £20m in this season just finished to kind of rectify the situation on top of forecast future earnings and expected short-term year on year profitability. I guess the problem they've got is that that forecast is likely to have been overegged having lost revenues over the last six months, and now they're in the position of a squad full of EPL wages and potentially greatly reduced parachutes (and only 2 seasons of them) to help 'catch back up' again, against a backdrop of having refreshed the squad so most of those expensive contracts expire in summer of 2022 and 2023 (so they'll have EPL costs hanging around but Championship incomes unless they can get back up) and a diminished buying market to release players early into.

They were in the EPL 4 seasons out of 5 - then in their second season out of the EPL before going on to win the title they finished 14th, just 9 points more than we obtained last season. Whose to say we won't do alright this coming season and get promoted the following season and do things pretty much exactly as they did?! They're hardly comparable as a team, barring the single season in the the third tier, they've pretty much been a Premier League / Championship club since the 90's (and I want to say top two divisions pretty much since forever). Norwich are a West Ham / Burnley in terms of their financial opportunity and establishing security over a long period. Throw in a bigger stadium which probably generates them an extra £1.5m a year at least, and the nearest team of any note being >50miles away, so not a diluted fan base locally. We sit with the clubs a level below them - more akin to the likes of QPR and Sheff Wed.

Their challenge is that they are self financed and Delia et al are only really set up to fund a Championship club - which I guess is why they've been "open to investors" for the last couple of years. Being in the EPL can really screw the rudders off what is otherwise a relatively tightly ran ship. Ahead of this season they were banking this season as being the financial input which would get them back trading positively, but then you read their revenues this season are expected be down somewhere around £20m-£30m lower than expected. Not ideal when everyone is on an EPL wage! www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/canaries-still-hope-to-avoid-transfer-panic-1-6623940
