The Manager has really lost the plot (already). To say he didnt play Grant because it would put pressure on in is just crap. He is a young guy, a bit arrogant perhaps, only scored goals at a lower level perhaps - but if the Manager thinks playing a striker in front of him that has not scored all season then all he is doing is starting to ebb away at the confidence he obviously had before he cane to us.

I just hope we see them both on Tuesday along with Billing linkWhat pressure? We are already down, Grant will never play at a less pressurised time in the rest of his career It seems like he’s lost the plot even before he’s even had one. I’m finding myself liking Siewert less with every passing press conference....I hope it’s just the language nuances, but he continues to come across a bit like a starry eyed idiot out of his depth.

So are you saying because he wasnt a Siewart signing he should not pick him ? Surely giving him a chance at this stage must be worth a punt. The guy was on a real high when he joined us (you could see from his press conference) so surely you play him to test that confidence.

All the decision makers at the club have been proved to be this , massive mistakes , worrying times

He has only had brief cameos against Chelsea and Arsenal and has scored a goal, why wouldn't we play him tonight

You do have to question the manager playing ldp ahead of him. Grant has scored more goals for town this season in a couple of 10 minute cameos than depoitre has all season. No one is deeming him the saviour but he is certainly a better option than mounie and ldp.

This manager could go all season without a win. Now that is good preparation for next season.

Wonder if any manager has ever survived a start like that

In the range of possibilities, we could win every remaining PL game 6-0 too!

I cant find information, but in any 12 month period I doubt any club in any top four divisions has ever scored fewer goals than Town have in the last year. Ever in the history of the game. So whilst we may win every game 6-0 I would suggest the odds on us not scoring again are significantly shorter.

Who mentioned odds? Both yourself and Kongolo mentioned possibilities and I merely added my bizarre one to the ones already mentioned.

If he doesn't start tonight and we have a front 3 of Puncheon Deportshit and Kachunga come 6:45 i'll be in two minds whether to make the trip down Halifax Road or just keep an eye on Hesgoal.

Mounie and Depoitre joint strike force to start with a Grant last 10 minute cameo after the game is lost

Got to squeeze Billing and Pritchard in somehow as well. You can't play poor players above decent ones just to keep some kind of formation going.
Especially after that abomination on Saturday.

Brilliabt for his debut Ran his socks off and gave us that bit of running off the ball in the final 3rd we’ve so desperately needed

Now imagine a front three of Mbenza, Grant and Diakhaby.... against those immobile Championship defenders, I'm looking forward to next season already.
