It takes me a while to make up my mind. I'm in my back garden and I've been deliberating for half an hour whether to have a G n T or a beer. Come on impact, call it for me! Beer all day long. G&Ts are for soft southerners.

Forget the takeover, forget the inept manager, forget the deadwood. Come end of the transfer window for next season, if this man is still here I will be a very happy person. Pace, strength etc. When did we last have a forward as rapid and shoot when he wants and not after tippy tapping passing? He’s a growing, learning talent and I enjoy watching him. Still raw, but if we develop him right I’m excited to see him run at some potentially dodgy defenders next season. He isn’t scared to pop one from 30 yards, to win the lottery you’ve got to buy a ticket and this guy has a lot of lucky dips on. Shining light on a shit season. High five to the man who got this guy, thank you

Grant the only positive this season. Looks a great prospect, scores again when no other town player gets near.

Player of the season this lad. Without a doubt.
But honestly let's cancel any end of season anything, get the team in for next year and drag then to the artic circle for pre season training after what weve endured this year.

I was amazed that the club decided to have an End of season awards dinner. They need to rethink that.

On the plus side they'll be able to show every goal we've scored this year for the goal of the season vote. Should only take a minute or 2.

I can't imagine why anyone who doesn't contractually have to attend that would want to go. With the exception of Karlan Grant and Bacuna this season has been dire for all.

It seems to me we are being run a bit like a retail outlet, high staff turnover and let's just do shit stuff anyway because the management say let's do it. So far away from where we have been the 3 years from 2015 to 2018

With a front two of Grant and Diakhaby & Mbenza we would rip s**t up next season. Front three?

Looking back on this shitshow season, Karlan Grant is one shining light. He will rip it up in the Championship, the lad is a quality striker. He showed all his attributes in 5 seconds at West Ham, speed, strength, awareness, instinct and finishing. If he remains injury free he will be on for 20 goals. I have this bad feeling he wont be here. Several people on this thread have made reference to him possibly not being here next season. Why wouldn’t he? In January he knew he was coming to a relegated team so was going to be spending next season in the Championship, so that will have been factored into his and his agents thinking. Can’t see anyone coming in with a huge offer based upon 4 goals and a handful of PL starts. He will be out starting number 9 next year and will score a hatful!

Already relegated in January...... at the time i doubt he thought that, even if he did and thought i have a minimum of playing in the Championship after this season. Ever thought even if he knew we were relegated as you say, that he didnt logically think about putting himself on a platform in the most watched league in the world? Do well with this already relegated team, showcase your talent, score goals and you more than likely could be a purchase for another Premier League team. Proved he can score at this level, as you say "handful of starts" indeed so, but as you state again, 4 goals. Handful of starts and 4 goals in the Premier League and you think someone wouldnt come bid big for him come Summer? Silly to think not.

If we do sell him, we'll get a darn sight more for him than we paid.

Oh and 2 or 3 DOFs.

Oh and 2 or 3 DOFs. So when the coach left so did his back room team? And the new man is assessing his playing staff options? Roger Burnley who’s a non executive board member (ie no actual power) has left, probably because he hasn’t got time to do the role. Doesn’t seem to be particularly indicative of anything from where I’m standing?

Maybe it's like what i was told yesterday that he cant settle up here and that Bournemouth are interested, but i hope it's just a rumor.

But does the North produce more farmers?! Decent read actually and shows how a well functioning academy, along with established staff, can reap the rewards and earn their clubs a fortune.

Nice little interview with Karlan in todays Mirror. Sorry, can't do all that link stuff, had to get print on my fingers.
Worth a look.

They've been doing it consistently for donkey's years too. I don't want to take anything away from what must be a decent youth setup, but the Southern rump of London is clearly a hot bed of young talent waiting to escape what is quite a deprived area. Interestingly in that article it mentions that Grant is half Scottish on his mum's side. A good start to the season could see a call up? Excited to see what the new season will bring for this lad.
