I have read a lot of football autobiographies and most talk at some stage about injuries. They often say how some players play through pain while others are a pain with their attitude and crying off when the going gets tough. When did we last have 7 injured. Is this a coincidence or are they not wanting to play? neither and your point how do we have 7 injuries? easy and there is times when players play through the pain barrier but not if its going to make there injuries worst.i certainly don't accept that players do not want to play.

Either that or our medical staff aren't up to the job. I thought Williams was supposed to be almost ready to play 2 or 3 months ago. comment about something you know about the medical staff are experts in there field don't spout riubbish

I'm not accusing any of our players who are currently unavailable for selection through injury of not wanting to play, for one thing I don't know any of them, I'd like to think they are all genuine cases, however to say you "don't accept that players do not want to play" is simply wrong and in the past that has also included Town players. For example, Joel Lynch would get another booking that led to a ban over the Christmas holidays and just about every footballers autobiography, Town or otherwise, would include tales of XY and Z deliberately missing games to suit their circumstances, it plainly did and still does happen with certain players, but of course not all of them.

Again I don't know, it "feels" to me like he could / should be playing and while this season has been a waste of time as far as Williams' is concerned if he was fit and motivated he would be an asset in the Championship. I guess no offer of a new contract would suggest his injuries haven't been that serious, time will tell.

Interesting press conference! Injured Hogg, Depoitre, Williams, Mbenza, Tikay (”Kongolo”) + Durm who will be fit. No mention of Diakhaby. I also like how he deflects the question from Hannah about who the particular West Ham danger men will be....”they have a lot of dangerous players”...me dubiously strokes chin and thinks,,,”erm, you don’t actually know any West Ham players do you?!”...Hannah presumably thinks the same so follows up with “well name SOME of the dangerous players then”....Jan quickly racks his brain, can’t think of a single West Ham player so responds, “I don’t want to” like a baby!! I’m sure it doesn’t actually play out like that...but I do wonder if he’s all that bothered about the opposition given how far away from everyone else we seem to be...might as well just forget who we’re playing and try and bed a system in whilst just taking the hit of a load of defeats...like an extended pre season. What struck me was how little interest there is generally in the WH game, eg there isn’t even a match thread started on here yet. I was at Newcastle (what a waste of effort) and watched the Brighton game on a stream (what a waste of time). How many are bothering to trek down to London tomorrow for what will almost inevitably be another defeat where we fail to score? Got to be honest tomorrow I have no intention of listening, watching or even checking the score, had too many Saturdays ruined this season, that's my plan anyway, whether I'll manage it or not is another matter. Fair play to anyone going to West Ham. Its just a question of how heavy the defeat will be isn't it. We haven't had a tonking for a while, I can see that changing tomorrow.

I'm sure he is a very good coach though and professional enough to know all about West Ham and who their danger men are. He also forgot Tommy Smith was back from injury! Tommy will be feeling great if he saw that having just been stripped of the captaincy. At least he knows how much he is rated. To be fair to him it must be easy to forget details when you're in a press conference and have a million different things on your mind.

Have our medical staff never heard of laser or any other forms of natural treatment? That sentence reads like you think that laser is a form of "natural" treatment.

Bloody hell to suggest he doesnt know any of their players because he doesnt want to name names is a stretch even for on here. You honestly think he doesnt know who players like arnautovic, anderson, rice are? standard manager stuff to not talk about another teams players as its about his own players. No doubt if he spent 5 minutes talking about how much he admires arnautovic folk would be saying wah wah wah whys he talking about west ham players He also did mention diakhaby

I do however think he’s probably less bothered about the makeup of the teams we’re facing now than he’ll have to be once he starts to take us into some actual competitive fixtures next season.

Yeah ok , me replying to what you said makes me the idiot Let me be clear. The final paragraph I wrote is what I believe. The paragraph before that was how a stream of consciousness vaguely amusing thought I had whilst watching the video went. Apologies if everything has to be hard black and white for you to comprehend. 🤷♂️

United home last season- tbf it was a blinding performance but what a crock. Sorry but there aren’t 20 worst signings than DW, not in the last 5 years. I don’t think there are 5 worse than him. 5 that contributed less, taking into account wages, games played etc Sobhi and Sabiri are 2 I’ll start you off with. Williams is in front of them by virtue of he’s m played 1 good game for us, which is 1 more than those two numpties.

A horror show signing that one- not surprising when he’d played 4 games in 3 years though! I’m not really into considering Bojaj and other youngsters because they won’t have been on any serious money unlike Danny. Miller was Clark surely. Majewski yes fair enough was he Robins or Powell? Gobern had a few decent games for Town more contribution that Danny I’d venture. Puncheon definitely- woeful. James and Carroll? Bit part squad men signed in league one or champs for a pittance so I’d question their inclusion. Wages and when signed needs to be considered imo.

Id probably agree with all that but i guess you have to take into account finances if you're talking wages. He will be on a lot more than any of those but we had a lot more brass to spend Remind me who james and carroll are? Id happily keep williams if it was on a tiny wage with high appearance fee, but he wouldnt sign the type of contract id want him on. he will be off.
