Wow. The new gaff is amazing. As expected, getting away from the ground is a bit of a nightmare. Luckily it is a 12.30 kick off so shouldn't be much of an issue.
Hope not coz we've still got to get back to the grim north after negotiating getting away from the ground Looking forward to my visit to my first 'cashless' experience; that's a big thing for us 50 somethings you know Does that mean the programme sellers outside the ground are armed with card machines as well? Not sure mate. I haven't bought one in over 10 years. The cashless thing works quite well although you can lose track of how much money you have spent! Plenty of Palace fans were buying programmes from the club shop so they could comply with the strict bag policy. We have airline metal detecting arches and everything.

Can you settle last nights argument on the radio, Spurs fan called and said they ran out of beer, radio host said nonsense they have an inhouse microbrewery they can't have done, next Spurs caller said all the new agency staff were a bit green and it was probably just an issue changing the barrels ?

They have been running out of beer in some bars at various times. I think they have been overwhelmed by demand. Fans are eating and drinking much more in the ground than at the old WHL. They tried to project demand based on Wembley sales and it is far short of what the reality really is. It will settle down eventually and by next season they will have a better idea of the volumes they need to stock.

now all they have to do now is to win something..... Why? because a huge investment needs success to follow??? you may try making the champions league year after year and hope the income will carry you through but you will have to win something at some point.. your sure that being in the runners up spots year after year will keep the backers and the sponsors happy, never mind the fans? stadiums are not built for the 'fans' other than to be able to take more money from them.. wonderful stadium with a team of perennial near misses and runners up will wear off.. nothing against Spurs, I like the way you play but I like football and entertainment with good competition which does not seem to be the way the Premier league is going? Winning and earning is all..

What's the recommendation if driving down ? Train from Enfield Town, there's parking restrictions around the town though. Use Junction 24, you'd be able to park in Aldersbrook Avenue which is about as near as you'd get to the station without braving the one-way system and using the town car parks. If you've got a spare ticket you can park on my drive and have lunch.

It was inevitable this would happen when Gazza & Jimmy 5 bellies were there last Saturday, could happen again next week, but Stella Artois are working round the clock after hearing M. of Cov & his mate Jimmy have got tickets.....'we'll drink all yer beer'. I don’t like the idea of a cashless stadium. Is it like the German grounds where you have to load money onto a prepaid card?

All fine in principle, but what if as happens very occasionally happens their provider goes down and you can't use a card. Bloody chaos when it happens in a supermarket, never mind a stadium full of 62,000 (or only the 59,000 who could be bothered turning up for the grand opening....)

Which reminds me, those that use the cashpoint at the stadium take note. There is now a charge for withdrawals!

You realise that we lose a large number of seats through segregation and that not all of the executive/corporate boxes are finished yet right? So our capacity will never actually be bang on 62k. That said, there were some ST holders that, for whatever reason I can't fathom, were no shows.

It’s going to be interesting what happens with Spurs, looking at Asrenal when they got the new stadium it seriously effected their transfer business. If the same thing happens this team could quite easily break up, would they still fill the new ground finishing outside the top 6?

What's the recommendation if driving down ? I would go to Cheshunt station easy to find from A1/M25, a few pubs/cafes & plenty parking for trains to WHL or N.Park. You could also try Ally Pally which has free parking & free shuttle bus via THFC.

For some weird reason West Ham don't do too badly and they'll never finish in the top 6

What are drivers doing for parking tomorrow? Looked online and the official advice from Spurs is 'driving is not advised', but there's no actual suggestions of what to do if you're driving. Currently thinking of parking up in Enfield then getting a bus or train to the stadium as I'm struggling to find any info online about match day parking nearer to the ground.

Park at Enfield Town and get the train. 10 mins and £6.70 return. Use a contactless card.
