He will be fine in the championship. Calm down You mean against teams like Fulham and Cardiff. Remind me how many goals he scored against them?

He will be fine in the championship. Calm down No he won’t , passion , fight and physical strength are even more important in the championship. There is no where for moaners to hide. He needs to leave for his own sake, if not for ours.

Wonder what the french is for abysmal ? What is worrying though is we have 10 other players + subs who have to play with him and know that he won't score and he cannot be arsed to perform. What effect has that on them ? Grant has put more effort in in the last 10 games than Mounie has done for a season and a half...... Merde 💩

He will be fine in the championship. Calm down You must be joking, he's not good enough, he needs to leave Town, in the summer, not really sure how he's still in the team! He's as mobile as Stonehenge!

Like a rabbit in the headlights when through on goal last night. I’ve been a supporter simply because I know he can do it, but he needs to move on to resurrect his career elsewhere and get some confidence back.

Is it wrong that the day after the game I’m still annoyed with this arsehole, what’s even worse is that unfortunately he’s going be here next season tossing it off. There isn’t a football club anywhere daft enough to take him,so we’re stuck with the clown.

Can't wait for him to cup his ear after one goes in off his arse in the Carabao Cup.

Can't wait for him to cup his ear after one goes in off his arse in the Carabao Cup. Probably still do it to the wrong end. Port Vale fans won't mind though, not at 4-1 up.

Watched him very closely last night. 1) His confidence is absolutely shot. 2) He shows the signs of a man with some mental health issues ie unmotivated, internalised thought process ( eg his lack of reactive response to Grant calling him out), obviously very down on himself, and yes playing exactly to instruction but without sense of purpose or mental strength to initiate play/ moves himself. This guy’s problems right now are I suspect a bit deeper than his physicality which itself should be undoubted. A good sports psychologist is needed through the summer if Mounie is to again become that player he was against Palace.

I hope we keep Mounie next season, think he will be good at that level especially if we can reboot his confidence level.Takes pressure away from Grant. We certainly need rid of Mbenza after last nights performance.

I too came away enthused from that Palace game that we might finally have a striker who knows where the net is. But Mounie's shortcomings were evident even in that match. He broke clear in the second half with only the keeper to beat (much the same as last night) and on that occasion the defence caught up with him easily (much the same as last night). He just doesn't have the basics to be a footballer, let alone a top level footballer!

If Mounie was doing the right things, but they weren't coming off, then his poor form could be put down to a lack of confidence. These things happen.
But Mounie is not even doing the basic things you would expect from any striker playing the professional game. That is a real worry, and make me think he'd struggle even at Championship level.

The odd thing is Mounie was caught in possession in EXACTLY the same way in his debut game at Palace when clean through...think it was before he scored.
It’s not lack of effort, it’s poor technique. It’s as though he trains without anyone trying to take the ball off him...surely that “one on one with defenders closing in on you from behind” situation is one of the easiest drills to set up for strikers to repeat for 20mins once or twice a week?

Which then begs the question why was he picked to play? For this reason I'm not bothering on Sunday, and I rarely have this attitude.

Call yourselves supporters....you should hang your heads in shame.
You're all berating a Huddersfield Town footballer. Why bother? The season is a write off. Maybe he's contributed to this. Is he alone? Is he hell?
Our beautiful game is a team game. They're all culpable I'm afraid and I thinking ridiculous to single Mounie out.
He's still scored more than Depoitre and regularly scores for Benin.
There are plenty of calls for new strikers to be signed. Name the ones who will sign for us who are good enough or ones we can afford......

He will be fine in the championship. Calm down No he won't, he's awful. He has no pace, no strength,no heart, no anticipation, no basic football knowledge at all. All he can do is head the ball, but only when he's not challenged for the it and when the ball is aimed at him and only in the oppositions penalty area.

Hamer dropped "What the fuck has he been doing for the last 12 games? I think all of us have learnt a hell of a lot. Like he doesn't look like he knows what he is doing "

I've said before I don't want to see mounie in a Town shirt, and most people on here agree. Having said that there's a bigger problem......the person who selects him. If Sievert actually thinks picking Mounie over Grant or even a cardboard cutout then JS clearly isn't up to it and is not management material, get rid of both!
