Speaks very well
One thing that doesn't ring true to me is that he says he bought Southport because Town wasn't for sale.
Dean then puts the club up for sale, clearly in quite a public way within those circles given bids were made from all corners of the globe yet PH didn't make an offer and it needed Dean to contact him.

He was in the Ray Wilson team at the Young Terriers, as was I ... don’t remember him sadly and strongly suspect that’s mutual. Must admit, I do like the fact he’s a proper fan (weird he didn’t mention Stewart though ... or that might be just me)!

Hope we give the bloke as much rope (if not more), than we gave DH...
Much like JS, this bloke has big boots to fill...

I like him... one thing which I found a bit disconcerting was his need to talk about how much money he had. "I spent 2 million on ...." . Having said that no one knew how rich our richest ever chairman was and he didn't really spend that much on town and it was a pretty dreary time. So who knows it may all work out... got to love his passion and getting early digs into Leeds and posh is ok by me .

Possibly felt the need to do that to placate some of the doommongers who couldn't have cared less who Hoyle sold to, so long as they were loaded

He comes across very well and it does sound as though he has the finances to take the club forward. It sounds as though he's a proper fan like Dean and won't accept failure going forward.

Impressed with that, comes across really well. Clearly more successful than people are giving him credit for and seems that’s the way he's liked it up until now.
Looking forward to part 2!

Interesting that he pointed out that Pure is a business group not just Pure Legal which is only one part which I think people were worried was a small outfit with not much behind them.

Comes across well. How many fans would give their right arm to have a proper fan running the show!!?? Ok, he might not have the billions of an Oligarch but he clearly hates Leeds. He will do for me!!😜

As with midlander, I am sure he is aware of the eejits that have tagged him as pauper Phil and questioned his financial clout and thus his ability to carry on Dean's work - I thought he handled it as well as he could without dropping actual figures. I am delighted that DH is staying in the picture - PH could well be DH mk2 in terms of our Chairmanship and no-one should ever complain about that. Fans as owners should always be preferred over billionaires who want a new plaything. DH has more than earned our trust over the years and if he trusts PH enough to pass the baton onto him that will do for me.

Certainly more voluble than Deano but speaks in much the same manner....as though always addressing a meeting group. Somewhat staccato and precise. Not a criticism. Phil is saying all the right things and we can only get behind him. Who knows what his tenure will bring.....a driven man is a good start. All i know is Deano retaining 25% is an absolute blessing.

A very good first interview, says all the right things and had me chortling a few times. “I’ve not taken over so we can be average” was a particular highlight.
As others have said, he needs to make himself sound rich and successful to appease fans worried that he’ll take us backwards, but it’s not something that can be easily done without sounding like an arsehole. Thought he did it well.

I thought he came across well too. Stressed his business is very profitable and that he knew what it would take financially to support the club.
Seems to want to take us forward not just accept mediocrity so I am cautiously optimistic.
As others said if Dean Hoyle thinks he is the best option for the club then who am I to criticize at this point?
Hopefully he can bring us more success.

I remember a campaign to shut the music down 15 mins before kickoff so we could all sing... 3 dead games later the music returned. Get rid of the clippers so people can clap and 3 games later they will be back. Part of the game and match experience now, should all be sponsored, should be in all stands. If you dont want them, dont use them. Same for those that dont like the music, bring earplugs.

Just seemed to me like another Dean Hoyle. Very successful businessman, used to things going how he wants them to and a lifelong passionate Town fan. That'll do for me.
