Have to say I'm with Nick. Maybe not on the bit of sacking him if we're only mid table after 12 games but I'd be dissapointed if we only finish mid table. I am a realist, I was pleased with just staying up when we first got into championship but we should be challenging for promotion next season. Anything less than playoffs will be a failure, we have been a premier team for two years. Billy big balls is turning into a Wendy/Beeston boy.. Give your head a sheck nick, all this European cup winning malarkey has got to you..

If those are your honest expectations maybe you would be better off being a Liverpool fan full time from now on. Town may have been in the Premier League last season but sadly, for a number of reasons in my opinion, they were not up to the level. You may not have noticed this if you were busy watching your "Mighty Reds"? Next season is all about rebuilding and going again. It's all part of the ride and adventure. Town fans are lucky. I love the fact I've watched Town in all four divisions and experienced so many highs and lows. No idea what comes next. The new squad, that no one knows at present, may gel early and storm the Championship. Alternatively it could all go horribly wrong. Come August it's back on the ride to no one knows where. Can't wait.

Give your head a sheck nick, all this European cup winning malarkey has got to you.. its a new season in a different division with what may be a very different team on the pitch and off it.. I wish to see us play faster and more attacking, the rest is a wait and see.. 10 /12/20 games?? guess we will have a much clearer view of the team and it may vary from awful, through ok to promising or even terrific... If its awful then decisions may need to be made, the rest are still a wait and see... There is no real marker after last season the simple fact is scoring more and conceding fewer, however that is achieved it wont be a failure..

Is it all quiet while the FL approves tge takeover? The silence is deafening on the football side of things It could be the reason although I can't find any other championship clubs that are exactly a hive of activity atm either. Most of our last championship squad were signed between late June to mid-July so I wouldn't be too worried yet. The only championship clubs I can find that have signed anyone as yet are Barnsley with a free transfer from Germany & Brentford with a youth signing from Hibs.

I would speculate that the contents of said second part might invite some unwanted questions at this stage.

With the number of contracts coming to an end and speculation that some others may be on to their agents to find alternative employment it could be a very different looking side that kicks off our 2019-20 season. All bets are off as far as predicting a likely final table position. We've had some good times but even with the parachute payments it is looking like Town are going to have to be careful with their money again or risk going down the Sunderland route. I was hoping for a playoff place but now I'd settle for mid table as long as it looked like we were building for the future.

I'm not sure if you heard it but a very good podcast came out last week with them chatting with Sean Jarvis for over 2 hours which is well worth a listen if you haven't already. Not sure how to link it but I listened to the YouTube version of 'And he takes that chance.'

Top 10 finish. Build for future. Winning games again. I’ll take that. Firstly I am missing the football but I simply cannot seehow we are going to do anything other than struggle this year I think the championship will come as a massive shock to a young Manager who has in my opinion no idea what has hit him. We have two wingers who will be kicked out of the game at every opportunity and will not like the rough and tumble of the Championship. All i I am hoping is that we can hold onto Schindler Mooy Hogg and have a strong spine, I feel if we loose too many of our better players we will not be able to replace them, and buying potential for the manager to work with, will (in my opinion) simply not work in the championship i hope I am wrong but unlike others on here I do not look to fondly on our time in divisions 3 and 4 and do not want to go back there.

Totally agree it’s going to be a shock but the same would be said of Wagner when he came into that division - had to learn how to adapt the pretty passing football for dirty away night games in rough holes!!! Anyone who thinks it will be a walk in the park is deluded but we have to take heart from two seasons in the biggest league in the world and some learnings from it........

I don’t think anyone has said it’s going to be a walk in the park, though I don’t read every post so may have missed it. That said, we haven’t all of a sudden become a team that is not capable of competing at Championship level. It wasn’t that long ago a lot of people were harping on about us getting rid of the ‘small dog’ mentality. Well let’s have a bit of confidence and at least give it a good bloody go. We have a good foundation to push on as a strong Championship team, yes it’s a tough league, yes it’s a hard slog but 6 teams have a chance of promotion after 46 games, let’s see if we can be one of those 6. If not no big deal but we won’t be a team that others fancy playing in my opinion.

I have a lot more hope today than I had 10 years ago under stan Tennant and deano.... it turned out well in the end, so let's hope Phil can carry on that journey.
It feels like something special will happen this year... despite peoples obvious disappointment that zanka, billing and lossl found it necessary to go to the papers.... the fact seiwert has taken less than 6 months to out these clowns and see what I saw and through their bullshit makes me hope that he is a massive success...
First thing I'd do when I get to canalside is stop the fancy fucking cosy breakfast get together and get them earning their coin.
Make us the fittest team in the division and install walls for them to run through each day... even if they are just polystyrene... then work on a direct, energetic, pressing, full throttle 433.

What the fuck is your deal with what is widely regarded by nutritional experts as being the most important meal of the day?

Jonas Lossl and his fancy feed the 5000 breakfasts with gratuitous waste posted on instagram....... the day after getting hammered 5 and 6 nil. Typical of his and many others attitude to the cause, more interested in been a premier league footballer, than playing premier league football.

I don't like looking at topless men, so when a picture of a topless man comes up I don't follow their account, it really is that simple. By the way, you do realise most Premier League footballers are given fairly strict diet plans to adhere to don't you? You'd have a point if he was eating a full chocolate gateaux washed down with 4 pints of Kronenberg every morning.

I reckon if we sign Reece Brown as is rumoured, that's already got us a very functional 3 man midfield, even in the event of Mooy (and Billing although that's a given) leaving. Hogg holding, Bacuna box to box, Brown creating. O'Brien can fill in either of the latter two roles as well as out wide.
Add a left back or two, a centre half and a bit of cover elsewhere, then take away the likely leavers for a decent profit, and we've got a young and hungry side in more financial health than most of the division. UTT
