Thailand lose 13-0 to USA.
Yet the best price you can get on them to win the competition is 9,000/1.
Should have more noughts on it.
PS I should stress before anyone sends round the medics, I just noticed this rather than was looking for a price.

So clearing the ball then catching someone in the follow through is a penalty and a yellow card thanks to VAR 🤨. Or is it there to help out the home nation 🤔

Highlights of the games yesterday 1. Henry and Le Sommer from France 2. Scary William lookalikey Renard 3 Blonde ref 4. Lucy "eeeeee I used to play fer Weeds United an wor married to that fat cock who played for Charlton and then made us a combo training team at t/mighty sh1tes" Ward repeatedly tell the watching hordes, that "France liked to slip it into the box" 5. Continuation of lots of pokies through waifer thin shirts 6. Wonderful VPL from the 4th official as she held up the time added on board at the end of the game and lastly but best of all 7. No waspy whiney stupid fcking haircut Sue Smith
Apart from that the usual lesson in how womens football is and never will, be a mass spectator sport (cos basically its shit)
ps anyone else notice that the half empty stadiums are filled by an ever increasing amount of very manly looking women with v short haircuts ?

The own goal/offside in the Australia Brazil game was a joke Launch the ball in to the box to a player who is stood offside, defender goes to head it as she knows there is an attacker behind her and can't be sure if onside or not. Heads in to her own goal. Initially flagged as offside and then given after VAR review. Apparently chasing a ball in to the box in an offside position is no longer interfering with play www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48628574

Yep, that's the current ruling but don't let that stop anyone from having a general pop at women's football. In fact with the permission of the OP maybe the mods can relabel this thread Jurassic Park.

A lot of this scorn is the medias fault ( BBC and Sky in particular) . They build the whole thing up ( womens football ) to be so much better than it actually is, then when it isn't, it opens it up to all sorts of negativity.
Bit like selling The Dog and Duck v Rose and Crown as some kind of festival of sublime quality football, then people being surprised because they play like two pub teams.

I don't mind watching women's football at international level, must admit I have only been watching Australia and whoever their opponents have been over the last decade or so.
Anyhow if anyone has a look at any of Australia's remaining matches, look out for Australia's right back Ellie Carpenter, an extremely good footballer in my opinion.

What I don't get, once again, is the vitriol. The women's game has come on in leaps and bounds over the last few years. It is what it is. If you want to watch it do so, if you don't you have plenty of other TV you can choose. The thing which concerns me is why so many posters have to make it sexist. If you don't think much to the general skill level fine, DATM is about opinions, but keep it at that, about the football, not making snide remarks abut the players and women in general. They work damned hard to get to the level they are playing at which I doubt any of the deriding posters have either the skill or the determination to do.
A friend's daughter plays football regularly and was playing at the Peoples FA Cup in Leeds when we went. She is passionate about her football, both playing and supporting, and that should be something we all support.

Good for her ! Will get the old chap who I sit next to at matches along one day to watch When he shouts "Gerrit in't mixer" she can develop in two ways 1. Learn and improve her passing into the penalty box and 2. Culinary skills
PS Yes I am going to get my England flag out tonight and cheer as loud as I would if our men were playing. However for a complete contrast I will also place a Moulinex GT22 on the sofa next to me in the hope it will bring them some good luck - make em all feel at home

What has that got to do with a game of football? If it was a men's game would you have a set of spanners next to you? Have a think about what you are saying lad.

These threads can around in circles forever
Never understood the pointless exercise of trying to convince the other person of something they don't agree with
I can't be bothered with it at all and think the standard is very poor but I couldn't care less if someone thinks the opposite

I thought the pace and skill of the French the other night was really good but I would never think of comparing it to the men's French team. Why would I?

Saw some of Scotland first half, looked a very soft pen. Was hoping they would qualify out of the group with England😞 Technically they could squeeze through as one of the best also-rans but it's a slender hope.

Me and Drum are of the same opinion - wonder if he is a Dirties fan as well ? (by your schoolboy logic he should be) Anyways back to me mixer - fairy cake mix this afternoon f anyone happens to know a female football player or is a brother of a cousin of the mother whose sister once played for Kirklees Ladies - send em round and I will share trade secrets - one how to make a fluffy mix and two how to pass aball and kick it with a bit of power when shooting at goal - or better still if they played as goalie - how to save the ball and not dive a good two seconds when its gently rolled under you from a pee roller of a shot from 10 yards As my post above - will be cheering em tonight and hope they win and I promise not to mention Las Malvinas once !
