With the shirt designed and the sponsor not quite finalised, and therefore the logo still yet to be applied on the front; I hope we’re not going to have the big stick on block logo like we did with the first OPE shirt that did nothing to enhance the look of the shirt. Surely they’ve given this some thought and planned ahead for the logo to fit. Yes, yes, yes, of COURSE we haven't signed a sponsor yet. Bet your bottom dollar that this was done AGES ago!

The actual shirt design was done and approved last October.

Panasonic one of the best . Yep. But the shirt of 71/72 was perfect in it’s blue tone and width of stripes. Hope it will be resurrected precisely, one day.

I accept that the days of no shirt sponsor are never going to return given the financial aspect, but damn, I’d love to see Town turn out in a simple ‘old school’ blue and white shirt with no added extras.

Hull have released photos of their new Umbro kit this morning. An 'interesting' design .... On the plus side it looks like the Umbro logo is stitched into the shirt and I'm guessing that the badge is the 'applique' version described by Sean Jarvis in his recent interviews. The neckline is a bit odd with the square section but looks to be a common theme on many of the kits they have released this year. Hull New KitEdit: Looks like Umbro logo might be 'applique' too

Ope seem a loyal lot. I’m so glad we are still friends with them. We need friends like that. Also the unbelievable concept of a stitched on badge, it’s amazing I can’t wait to see it. I’ve never seen a stitched on badge. You still ain't gonna cause it's glued on.

Don't you think having a sponsor on a shirt actually spoils it ?
Where else would you actually PAY £45 to walk round endorsing a product rather than be PAID to do so ?
No, it looks bland, it is 2019 after all and not 1970. It helps with funds for the club and providing its a good sponsor, looks good
I would rather have no sponsor but alas, As you say its the 21st century, And yes a good sponsor can look good if it is designed to compliment the shirt.
My cousin brought me a Western Sydney Wanderers shirt, Everything is designed into the shirt, Nothing is stuck/ironed on,, Its mint.

And I forgot to thank ope for the csr work they did. I just wish we could have ticked their box this season. It’s a shame.

Paddy Power is what I’ve heard. All joking aside this would be pretty good news. Paddy Power’s social media output/marketing is streets ahead of any other bookmaker or any other business for that matter.

Surely one of the 8 players who are bring in should be modeling the home kit as we would be wearing our away kit at Rochdale so might found out next week or the week atfer

What you describe is considered a 'nice to have' these days - Siewert will want his players in quickly, irregardless of marketing. *Edit - unless one of those 8 that you allude to is unveiled on the 17th.

Paddy Power is what I’ve heard. As likely as Nick getting shot in the Magic Rock. (See Hometown thread.)

Worth checking out nurnberg and Psv away shirts, both Umbro....mr Jarvis has said there is some leeway with designs but they are mainly templates so every chance our away and third choice kit could resemble one of these....

Not keen on the PSV one, the Nurnberg one reminds me of our Help for Heroes shirt a bit

Sponsor logo will impact whether the shirt is worth buying. Any idea who the sponsor will be yet? Thought this would have leaked by now

The Poirot in me has noticed that Mr Jarvis started following 3 different Paddy Power twitter accounts relatively recently...

If it is PP, I'm not sure how a green logo is going to look on blue and white. Or more to it, I do. Not good.
