We’ve got the nice new training range to wear on our jollies. Then we can go and spaff another £50 on the team shirt when we get back. Great idea Jarvis - always one step ahead on extracting money from the fans.

Who gives a fucking fuck about wearing the newest town shirt on holiday? If you're that arsed about wanting to wear a replica kit on your jollybobs, just wear last season's. What's the problem? I give a fucking fuck about wearing it on my hols, or anywhere for that matter. I’m not alone. I might be a bit sad or look a retard or like a child but I don’t care - I want to parade in it at all times for most occasions. I probably wear shit jeans as well and I’m not bothered about that either. And, I did wear last years on my hols, thanks - although it did have the shit dog on it. And the problem as I and others are stating is with a 12 month shelf life for a shirt, it’s a poor do we have such a limbo period where we have no shirt and it’s always out after all the others and the away and third kits aren’t out until the season starts. It’s crap! I want to parade them all while playing football myself and everywhere else. I’ve known someone literally not bother buying the shirt because it’s too late! I wouldn’t, I’d buy it whenever, but I know someone who won’t! Fucking fuck. Well if that's much of an issue, just go on holiday later when the shirts out. Problem solved.

Is kennyoldirons actually having a waaah because he/she can’t wear the latest footy top on holiday? My 10 year old daughter would be told she is lucky to have the bloody holiday and stop acting spoilt 😂😂😂

Great idea Jarvis - always one step ahead on extracting money from the fans. If it's PaddyPower on the shirts then i think the training gear is what i will buy. Aside from the gambling aspect and the green logo, cannot abide that company. The Rhodri Giggs thing especially was tacky and cheap and their Twitter feed is cringy (when i see it retweeted onto mine i might add). Understand some people will think its good for the club but not for me. The club should be looking away from gambling companies and i look forward to seeing them being banned from sports advertising, as Tobacco was.

I see Everton’s Umbro kit is out. They have a crisscross pattern in their home shirt that is meant to signify the architecture of Goodison Park... the player is stood right in front of said crisscross architecture on the pic and whilst reasonably subtle in the shirt, I just don’t get it!
I pray to every god going Umbro haven’t had this inspiration for us and we have a banana truss pattern on any of our kits! Didn’t the giants once do that or is it just their standard badge - either way NO!

Now we've dropped back out of the Premier League we'll probably have a shitty template kit.

There’ll be all this fanfare when the shirt(s) are finally out but really, who cares? Don’t care if the sponsor is paddy power, paul power or any other fuckin power. Should just make it a policy whichever league we’re in to get this sorted much earlier in future. zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Given a Cardiff player died in a light aircraft trying to cross the English channel in a light aircraft, at night in winter, with an unqualified pilot, I'd hardly use them as an ethical benchmark.

In fact with all that shit going on they can still sort a new shirt and sponsors. We appear to be a one man band in most departments.

I think with some things, we are really on the ball, eg cheap season cards, the good work done in the community, pretty regular Q&A’s with senior club officials but with other things, we are woefully behind. I suspect it’s similar elsewhere.

Re sponsor logo, sometimes the sponsor will allow their corporate colours to be adjusted to the sponsored teams colours. If it were to be Paddy Power its not a given that the shirt would feature a great big green logo on the front.
As someone who likes a couple of small bets each Saturday matchday I'm not going to be hypocritcial and say that I have an issue with a gambling company sponsoring the shirt. It doesn't sound like there was a huge queue of potential sponsors rushing to meet our valuation re sponsorship rights.
I'm not overly keen on the Rhodri Giggs advert but some of the social media advertising is quite amusing, some less so.

That must be very rare though, especially for a company that has a distinctive colour scheme like PP have. Just for info, below is how last seasons would have looked with the PP logo on. I can understand us having a gambling sponsor when they are paying us millions of pounds a year, but if the difference between a gambling sponsor and a non gambling sponsor is small, this season of all season's i would hope we would go with the non gambling sponsor.

The examples I had in mind were 32red who seem to sponsor a large number of Championship sides. Their corporate logo is obviously red, but has appeared on the Villa shirt in white, Derby's in black and Swansea's in gold. The other one was Bet365 who have a green and yellow logo, but was displayed in a red band across the front of the Stoke red and white stripes. From what I recall from the Sean Jarvis interview on the podcast, there were two companies in the running for the sponsorship one had met the valuation and one had not, but there was no mention of whether one or both were gambling organisations. It sounded like it had been a struggle to get anyone to take an interest in Championship shirt sponsorship - I'm not entirely sure we are in a great position to be overly selective. Personally I don't have an issue with it (at the end of the day we are playing in the 'SkyBet' Championship), but I can understand others are uncomfortable with gambling sponsorship. However, you could make a similar argument re alcohol sponsorship, or even the ethics of some of the kit manufacturers themselves.

I agree, the fact 17 out of the 24 Championship shirt sponsors last year were gambling companies says it all. 2 of the other 7 were essentially companies owned or linked to the owner of the club (Wigan and Sheff Wed) so it doesn't leave a lot out there if we have a set target in mind.
