I am hoping for Barnsley away ,I have not been for years, plus I think you can get the day rover which includes South Yorkshire, a cheap day out for an old tight sod.

Millwall, Reading, QPR at home, Blackburn and Charlton away. All about momentum, get some points on the board early doors.

Or just wait for some absolute fucking throbber to throw beer in your direction under the guise of ‘concourse culture’...

Worst scenario would be away at one of the fancied top 6 teams. About a 1 in 6 chance of that.

Want someone nice and boring, one of the teams that won't be among the favourites for either end of the table. Preston would do fine, or Brum or QPR. Or L**ds.

Who ever we play, will raise their game as we are now a scalp being a recent prem team.

Day Rover only valid as far as Darton I believe. Thanks for the info, there's always a catch to a good plan Family Day Rover £13 for 2 adults and up to 3 concessions. So 5 folk can pay just £2.60 for the entire day. Absolute bargain. In the past we have had a few in Wakey Fernandes on the way and used the pass as far as Darton and were prepared to pay the guard for the extension to Barnsley, £3.50 adult return. But the guards rarely leave the back cab on fan filled trains - although Barnsley Station can be manually barriered these days. Also the Day Rover is only valid as far as Denby Dale on the direct train. Fare from there to BNY £4.50 adult return.

Thanks for the info again, I could still use the day rover like you said , however I was planning to go by bus (could take a while from Batley). I can remember a friend saying he had bought a day pass and that he could travel to Barnsley with this particular ticket, one just lets you take Arriva buses , but another lets you travel on all buses. I think the Arriva ticket costs about £5 now,and the ticket for all buses is about £6. Whether these types of tickets are still valid i am not sure, but you can purchase them as you board the bus. The Fernandes bar is a sound Idea , I have not been there in about 3-4 years. Its probably the best Idea to ring Metro for some up to date info , unless anyone on the forum has some experience of these tickets into South Yorkshire.

Giants are at home on the Friday, so I think away is likely. I'll go for Swansea. Not relevant. Many times we've played Saturday when they've played Friday or they've played Sunday when we've played Saturday. Plus if we're at home and Sky want it as a Friday night game then they can, and the Giants would have to move to another day.

Would like Reading at home on the Saturday or someone similar in which we should be favourites. Warm weather with the Food & Drink Fest in full swing. Then we can all go into panic station mode with a load of ale after we lose 0-3. Brilliant stuff.

How come we are in the 1st round draw and Fulham and Cardiff aren’t? Bit weird If all 3 were in it’d be an odd number. We are in for finishing bottom. You sure about that?

How come we are in the 1st round draw and Fulham and Cardiff aren’t? Bit weird It depends on how many English teams qualify for Europe. As those teams enter in round 3, they need to make sure the correct amount of teams play in round 2. For example there are 70 teams in round 1, that means 35 qualify for round 2 along with Fulham and Cardiff and the 13 PL teams not in europe, making a total of 50 teams in rnd2. If Fulham and Cardiff were in round 1, round 2 would have 49 teams and that wouldn't work.
