Allardyce got the call before Bruce and had a quick think about it and said "Thanks, but no thanks". Not one signing this summer, loanees gone back, Perez sold, Diame released. No wonder the bookies fancy them for relegation. Unfortunately I can see them coming sniffing for Mooy. However good Bruce's managerial record is, Allardyce's is better. I think a large part of the that is down to how astute Allardyce is at assessing a club's situation. Allardyce turning a club like Newcastle down is a bad sign for them. |

They’ve been imploding all day in our office up here. Really weird that my Geordie colleagues don’t want him near their club and my Wednesday supporting mates want to keep him. Just seems Ashley wants to antagonise the locals a little bit more than he already has. Mind, I’ve heard that Chansiri has put a £5m compensation price on Bruce and his team. Knowing how tight Ashley is that could make him think again. £1M for Bruce according to SSN, I doubt his backroom staff have a £4M comp on them?... The Times today was saying Newcastle are negotiating a £5m compensation package. |

I see they can't get rid of his book in the club shop either. Books don't shift at all well in the Town shop. My guess is that a lot of Town fans can't read or there simply aren't enough pictures. |

Not bought a book in years now, everything I read is on kindle. The only book I bought from town was the 99 years book about 10 years ago (and it was very good if cluttered with errors). I've even just scanned that into PDF format so I have it digitally. Hate clutter  |
