That did not make a lick of sense to me except it appears to be a loan from Dean to HTAFC secured against assets. Without knowing why or how much (I did not see a figure in there), or what the assets in questions are I'm not sure what relevance it has.

Provides security for Dean’s loan. It would usually give the lender comfort that they will get their money back. There might be a bit of that but more likely it’s to prevent a future owner from asset stripping the club.

Are the stadium shares now in a trust does anyone know?

Yup I wondered if the floating asset charge prevents Phil from generating more shares or diluting his holding without Deans says so. "Protecting the next future"

Its a fixed and floating charge over all the assets of HTAFC. Essentially it means major assets cannot be sold off without the debenture holders agreement. Am surprised tbh, but it may suggest payment to dean is not in one lump sum, but deferred over a period.......or dean is protecting his 25 per cent interest by not allowing asset disposals without a letter of non crystallization.

Mention in the debenture agreement of a locked bank account ie one which cannot have payments made from it without Dean Hoyle’s approval. Putting 2 and 2 together, that’ll be the account the parachute payments go into and out of.
Dean Hoyle is still listed as owning 75%+ of the shares. Have PH’s lawyers not done the job properly?

Dean clearly protecting his outstanding loan (fair enough) - assume PH hasn’t paid it off and instead will be repaid via parachute income (or equivalent of) Explains the transfer budget and signing a free, 1 League 2 player, 1 conference and 1 German tier 4-8 player... (thus far)

He’s entitled to do so and he’d still be a legend but I think it’s bloody disrespectful considering what he’s done for this club and the situation around the need to sell.

Well if Neil thinks thats what’s gone on and there’s no other explanation then it’s case closed I suppose. You’re allowed to ask any questions you like I just think it’s a bit of dick presumption but I could be wrong.

Don’t be so naive, Deano is merely making sure that the parachute payments remain in his control and he releases funds to the club in an appropriate way and they don’t get ripped out as the Oystons did at Blackpool! Either he or his advisors are astute.

Which bit of ‘fair enough’ suggests he isn’t entitled to do so?!? But doesn’t help us this season / next couple. Not a criticism of Dean - I understand one of his last investments wasn’t exactly a success so I’d expect him / his advisors to have him covered and who would blame him

It's just a long term loan agreement. There's not enough detail there for us to know if this is the formalising of an old loan or if potentially it's a new loan to help us through a cashflow issue (for example) until the parachute payment comes through.
The majority of the document is just to ensure Dean has multiple methods of recourse to get his money back and cannot be screwed over.

It may well be the case, but based on what DH has done to date, it's somewhat twatty on your part.

This is something related to Dean putting something INTO the club, not taking away. The charges just make whatever the loan is “secured”.

Just digressing a bit...was I right in hearing that PH is in it for 3 years...I know he said he had a 3 year plan but I might have misheard that he was then intending to sell, hopefully while we're in the PL.?

If that's the case why he would be cramming the team full of lower league kids and not spending on quality in the positions we need baffles me

With our current squad we need 2 signings of quality to have a real good go this season. No one knows who we are trying to sign. I’m sure it’s not that easy.

Strengthening the squad isn't only about the 1st XI, but also bringing in what the club see as potential forthe next year or so ? I'm not defending it as such but at the moment will give it a few more weeks...the t/f window shuts in two weeks and the season starts in 3 weeks..so still time to clinch those deals maybe..?

Phil will have a steep learning curve - I went to school with him, he's a bright bloke and will learn quickly but will make mistakes like Dean has done...............only time will tell how successful he is, but one thing is for sure there are no overnight cures by spending fortunes on names who then don't perform. Ask Derby, Sheff Wed, Forest, Leeds none of whom have been in the top flight for over 15 years!

new chairman, old owner protecting the club and his share should we get promotion and the 'possible' deal already in place to sell goes through?

I've not read it all. But could it be related to Canalside being owned by DH not the Club? It’s an interesting situation. As far as I know, despite Dean Hoyles historic comments regarding Canalside being “his” and any future buyer would have to buy it from him or rent at favourable terms, Hudds Town Football Club is still listed as it’s ultimate parent company. Whilst Dean was the controlling owner of Hudds Town, obviously he was the ultimate controlling party of Canalside so his comments were true, he could do what he wanted. Would be interesting to discover if Canalside effectively formed part of the sale...I think it possibly did. What people also haven’t picked up on of course is that Phil Hodgkinson is now a director of Canalside, with the position of CHAIRMAN.

Dean Hoyle and Phil Hodgkinson etc whilst owners are merely transient custodians, looking after it for us. Ask them, they’ll agree.
