Don't be daft, Old Trafford has had the Manchester United name on the seats for ages. Try telling them they can't fill the ground... I wasn't saying they can't- just that there's no point in writing stuff in the seats if the seats are full. It looks shite most of the time anyway and serves no purpose unless you have an identikit stadium like Wigan. The only exception is Preston, the portraits of Tom Finney et al in the stands is a nice touch. ‘Identikit stadium like Wigan’? Who’s stadium is identical to Wigan’s? I’d say ‘identikit’ stadiums would be the likes of Derby, Middlesbrough, Sunderland etc. Think Wigan’s is pretty unique among new stadiums.

White plastic seats a sign of progress? White plastic seats as a sign of identity? Fatuity in cheap and nasty white plastic. Jasus on a velocipede! Yeah lets get in touch with Burnley, after their latest upgrade a load of claret wooden seats are available, cut price. Giants fans would be ecstatic. And your point is?

Of course Codders, my wish is for the seats to be made of an environmentally friendly composite material, derived from ethically sourced salix, locally sourced kale and organic bobby beans.

There might be one or two folk down that way tomorrow for some reason. Perhaps they can peep through the fence and report back.

It's just four boxes, nothing particularly distinctive about it.

As far as I know, the only white seats done are the temp seats, unless anyone else knows different, will look daft if it is just those changing...

Looks like we'll have to wait until the Montpelier game. Week on Friday v Leeds. Pretty big game, Leeds level with the immediate relegation place with just 5 games to go after that game, Giants currently 2 points ahead (effectively 3 with the points difference). Victory over Leeds would more or less secure Giants as they’d be 4 points clear (but call it 5) with 5 games to go, and the four teams below them aren’t *ALL* going to win 3 games out of 5 with Giants losing their final 5.

Always wanted the seats to be blue and white and I've always liked grounds that have the club badge or initials on the seats, or like Sunderland's 'Ha'way the Lads'. It would be cool to see 'The Terriers' across the Brittania Rescue. One of the most tinpot things in modern football, only goal music and cheerleaders are more cringeworthy. Besides, there's only any point doing it if you can't fill your ground. I think cardboard clappers trumps all.
