Would Dean Hoyle have presided over this Paddy power shambles. I wish I hadn't renewed my season ticket, which I have done for the best part of 40 years. I won't be renewing next season. This new chairman seems very grubby to me. 1.5 Season tickets/cards are non refundable unless returned intact prior to the first home game of the season. Go on then. Take it back. There's nothing stopping you. I'll bet you £20 you don't.

Its devaluing the club somewhat. Working. CLASS. Club. Not sure how the paddy power stunt and lack of respect for the fan base can be considered CLASSY. Good PR, but definately a lack of CLASS. Hey you can use capitals!

Really? Care to explain? There are a few things that should be done respectfully, the kit for many is owned by the fans, blue and white is our colour and the badge in a similar layout to this year is our symbol. Selling out to be paddy powers play thing, to mess with the kit is disrespectful to the fan base. The players come and go, the manager and chairman come and go, The club name, The stadium and the colours last along time. Think of the uproar when cardiff changed to red or hull changed its name to the tigers or st james park to sports direct arena. One thing last year should have taught the club is dont mess with the club colours, dramatically change logos or anything else on the home kit. I know it's just a prank, but its left a sour taste in many fans mouths at a time when everyone was starting to get behind the team. The MAJOR positive is that we seem to be playing well, so aslong as that keeps happening then all will be forgotten, but I do believe that the new chairman and manager have just lost a few weeks of patience if results dont start well for them.

It's become very apparent over the last 3 years that a high percentage of our fanbase were only comfortable in lower league anonymity. Is it either or though? Do cheap stunts to trend on twitter or be a lower league nothing club? How many times did we trend on twitter in the last few years? id imagine quite a few times, a massive part of which was the clubs image ("good to see a good honest club like huddersfield turn over man u" etc) It's not like we're some new startup/newly formed club desperate for exposure. The biggest argument for PP seems to be "biggest sponsorship for us outside the PL" ....well Id think so! given we've just come out the PL, have big name players, will be in the media more than pre-PL I think whether youre a fan of yesterdays stunt or not (i wasnt, but nor was i cutting up my season ticket) you cant argue with the fact its upset a large section of the fanbase and bottom line I dont think thats a great thing (whether they are being ott or not) - Its hardly ideal going into the season with some fans not onside? op is ridiculous though

This isnt about creating new fans. Football doesnt work like that and the stadium is full anyway. It's about marketing exposure/clicks to generate further marketing spend at HTFC. I cant be arsed to dredge but look at our Corporate/sponsorship income compared to some of our peers over the last few years. Its eye-openingly crap! The number of fans through the door has caught up with clubs i always thought we were on par with, its time the revenue did too. But it seems a lot of fans want everything for nowt...cheap season cards, cheap shirts, no betting sponsorship, £15m players...

You have nothing to base the 'grubby' comments on, and if you're going to not renew next season (yet are going to go this season, which seems a bit daft) then the club can do without you, someone else will take your seat. You're basically going "wahhhhhh".

The WORKING CLASS man is known for popping down the pub for a pint of BEER and calling in at the BOOKIES for a flutter.
Our partners seem quite well chosen for the new branding.

Dear Dean,, If you come back (even though you haven't gone anywhere) can you instigate some classroom lessons in common sense and humour,, And perhaps some basic education for the poor folk that are easily offended and upset about the shirt reveal shenanigans.
And could you also please look into being sponsored in the future by a nice company like WWF or Greenpeace.
Lets hope the alleged big split in the fans is healed fully before the season starts and keep an eye on Jarvis as he may be targeted by those who seek revenge over the last two torrid days, Where the club have literally been dragged through the gutters.
Yours with thanks, Cadman.

Ridiculous behaviour from some folk on here reacting to a different way of marketing. To be honest i'm hoping the shirt is real now just so that the likes of you can keep feeling your pain

I would imagine that the agreement to have PP as our main sponsor was decided months ago and, therefore, well before PH became chairman.

As someone else said, this season we'd have been better getting our heads down, doing well on the pitch and restoring a bit of pride after 18months of being whipping boys.......Not setting ourselves up for a fall by being dragged around by a company known for being brutal in its approach to gaining publicity Theres other ways to get exposure than to be PPs play thing (i dont have a problem with betting companies, just PP, for this exact reason). If we're in the promotion hunt we will get plenty of exposure/clicks

Now that would be funny wouldn't it. if they paid enough ... been going for 53 years now, my sense of humour and optimism has been tested a great deal more in previous seasons than a shit season in the 'TOP DIVISION' followed by a PR stunt from a huge sponsor.. being precious about the shirt and what people think??? clubs run by gangsters and nasty men from nasty countries, they sold their souls not just a shirt..
