If only you could delete your own threads Mally - I'd take a break from DATM before you disappear up your own arse on this one 😄

There have been enough ridiculous decisions under Hoyle far worse than this imo! Webber jumping shipMoss lasted 5 months Not replaced for 7 months Rebbe not appointed until May & given 2 months to oversee Ridiculous transfer window summer 18 taking 3 gambles to improve (and somehow managed to worsen) our weakness is attack (The above all crucial reasons why we are where we are today) After illness Appointment a manager who wants to play with wingers in same month losing 3 wide players January 19 window full stop Winkler appointed lasted 6 months Our football decision making has been dreadful since Webber left How is webber leaving hoyles fault? We’re heading for promotion (top 6) following the manager Webber found and the the players who Webber (alongside Wagner / recruitment) secured... ... and he jumped ship He clearly wasn’t happy enough to do his job which he was doing very well / felt rewarded enough doing it (money pays) / able to do it On its own no not that odd ...We’ve been through 3 Sporting Directors under Hoyle in no time. 1 jumped when doing well, the others lasted months Sorry but 3 leaving in that time is a little odd... asks questions about whether the role works alongside a hands on chairman / our off the field set up. Does that person get the freedom to do their job properly?

All rats have whiskers. And the moment another club waves an extra £5 a week under his fury nose, he’ll be off in a breath.

I stand by my earlier post. As a club we've helped peddle gambling in a big way which destroys some families and I know from personal experience. Sorry if pointing that out makes me wrong in the eyes of some posters on here. I would also point out that the new kit looks like a f*cking Tesco bag. Why no stripes on the sleeve. There's a surprise! I agree with you on a lot of things, but you're one stubborn git, who can only see things one way. Open your mind man.

Would Dean Hoyle have presided over this Paddy power shambles. I wish I hadn't renewed my season ticket, which I have done for the best part of 40 years. I won't be renewing next season. This new chairman seems very grubby to me. Deary me. Does he still seem grubby or has he scrubbed up nicely yet?

Ohh Malcolm you don't half look like a chump now. I made my comments based on what the club told us fans. What I hadn't factored in to the equation is that the club lied to us. So I guess I must be a chump. Despite this 'clever stunt' I am still uneasy about the clubs association with gambling. Does that also make me a chump?

While I think you might have overreacted recently I agree that there’s not much positive about the spread of gambling sponsorship in sport. I think you could argue though that Paddy Power seem to have recognised that the writing is on the wall for gambling sponsors and it’s likely they’ll be banned (rightly so) in the next few years and are looking for more nuanced ways of reaching their target audience. You could also argue that these kind of stunts while juvenile in nature are clearly targeted at an older demographic and the draw of pure visibility of sponsors on the shirt and it’s appeal to minors is reduced. From a pure publicity/marketing point of view you wouldn’t find many marketeers saying it’s been anything other than a masterstroke.

#saveourshirt. It wasn't bollocks I wouldn't have renewed. Sorry if that doesn't square with you. At first I thought it might have been a 'jape'. The fact that it was carried out over a few days made me think it was actually real and I wasn't the only one. See newspaper articles etc.

Or is it because you can't handle being "lied to" .. trust me mate you were "lied to "multiple multiple times by Dean . Please rein your neck in you're making a right tit of yourself.

We all say things from time to time that come back to haunt us, no big deal. In this instance you weren’t the only one. It had a few people fooled, that was the point. Take the fact is was a gambling company away, even you must see it was a genius marketing campaign. I said earlier, with this exposure this also benefits the charities and good causes that help addicts. It brings attention to all aspects of gambling and creates discussion. Leave it be now mate, you won’t look a tit tomorrow, everything is quickly forgotten.

Absolutely, Norwich being a bigger club and paying more money is totally Dean's fault..... Somehow, probably

I haven't posted on this issue before, but felt that it was a step too far based on the information the club itself gave to us. Is that ok with you?

Of course it’s about the money but at least this is ‘about the money but a left field approach which maximises exposure’. Would you prefer a nice and predictable above board ‘who’s got the most money approach’ like every single club of our size in the world or a more creative approach. Or maybe you’ve just woken up from the 1970’s?

This thread is what especially worries me about the PR stunt - there are Town fans now baiting each other because of this campaign and it's unneeded division. The fanbase unity has been the only positive in the last year, we need to be united again next season in the stands when the action starts. If we get off a bad start (and we have a hard start) we need to stick together or the wheels could really come off with a young team
For my worth I felt (hoped!) on balance the kit was likely to be a hoax but there were two nagging doubts - it went on too long as the national negativity amplified and also I couldn't fully rule out that Town would make such a misjudgement given the series Boardroom level errors in the last year; Rebbe, Winkler thinking Sobhi is worth £5.7m and so on.
As a PR stunt it got huge coverage - we got a hell of a lot of bad publicity and ridicule midweek followed by positive PR on Friday. However for example I don't yet see Friday's real kit release getting the same national syndication as Wednesday's fake release. e.g we were on BBC Breakfast on Thursday getting criticism as a feature but I'm yet to see a segment on BBC Breakfast covering the real launch.
Regardless when SJ is talking about it being universally positive to the Examiner "one step back two forward" he needs to watching fans forums and threads like this. Many take it as a light hearted joke but some don't
The obvious positives is the new kit looks great and the fake kit will raise money for charity but I doubt we'll see a more controversial HTFC marketing campaign again in our lifetimes

Start a thread stating that world is round and someone will have an argument about it, then one will call the other a cock and call them out, this will get the reply that you have to resort to threats and insults, someone will join in saying there is no need... and then someone will post about something random like the size of our wingers arse.
