I agree with that. but 'bed wetters' aside (always usuals moaning about something) I've seen plenty of very sensible, good posters on here saying they are dead against this...who are basically being told by some on here to 'like it or lump it'.....as if it's our only way of being financially/commercially profitable, which I think is nonsense. We're in the best financial shape ever and the club has even said we will turn a profit this year - did we really need all this? this season? maybe an option a few years down the line if the focus on us from the PL dries up. As someone else said, this season we'd have been better getting our heads down, doing well on the pitch and restoring a bit of pride after 18months of being whipping boys.......Not setting ourselves up for a fall by being dragged around by a company known for being brutal in its approach to gaining publicity Theres other ways to get exposure than to be PPs play thing (i dont have a problem with betting companies, just PP, for this exact reason). If we're in the promotion hunt we will get plenty of exposure/clicks
Argh, so it is just Betting company snobbery.
i dont bet and dont have an opinion on betting companies in general, i have an opinion of PP based on their antics.. does not liking a clubs marketing strategy make it snobbery? i'm probably one of the least easily offended people you'll meet....it's not moral outrage i just think they are tiresome and not antics id want assosiated with us. if things dont go well this season PP will distance theirselves from us by publicly trying to humiliate the club/players......exactly what we dont need after having confidence battered last season thats it, thats my sole reason for not wanting them. the fact it could potentially influence what happens on the pitch. dont think that makes it betting company snobbery

Hey lads, I'm enjoying the bantz on here. Next season can we have a big c*ck and b*lls on the front of the shirt. Now that would be funny wouldn't it. Send Jarvis your passport photo and he'll see what he can do...…..

We have a core of fans who have sulked about virtually every piece of attention we've receieved for 3 years. This isnt about creating new fans. Football doesnt work like that and the stadium is full anyway. It's about marketing exposure/clicks to generate further marketing spend at HTFC. I cant be arsed to dredge but look at our Corporate/sponsorship income compared to some of our peers over the last few years. Its eye-openingly crap! The number of fans through the door has caught up with clubs i always thought we were on par with, its time the revenue did too. But it seems a lot of fans want everything for nowt...cheap season cards, cheap shirts, no betting sponsorship, £15m players... If we're in the promotion hunt we will get plenty of exposure/clicks I thought actually wearing the kit went too far, but at the same time I'm not losing any sleep over it. To be honest, I'd be far more embarrassed if some of the comments on here were quoted. I don't mean simple objections, rather the dramatic and over the top stuff, like the OP..

If you're offended by paddy power's marketing, you're almost certainly not one of the "least easily offended people" i'll ever meet.
Dry your eyes, it won't affect the football team one iota.

This publicity stunt has gone on far too long, its about time Town told Piddly Power that it's time to reveal the proper kit... If that monstrosity is the kit then we have sold our soles... Sort this shit Town... & fast.

Phil comes across as a bit of a wide boy character,a bit too full of himself and thinks he’s hilarious. The type who stands at the bar talking about how great and successful he is.So far his first impression on me is he’s a bit of an arsehole the type of person I’d cross the street to avoid.

I'm calling time on my comments regarding this issue. With hindsight, my views are part of the problem and I think it is wise for everyone to back down.
Things are getting toxic and we are in danger of tearing ourselves apart. Togetherness has played a vital part in our on and off field success in the last decade and we are in danger of destroying what made us so good.
So, I'm going to go back to looking for good things about our club. Success on the field is our main aim and I'm going to support positively from now on and ignore the nonsense.
Always blue, UTT! Cheers!

Would Dean Hoyle have presided over this Paddy power shambles. I wish I hadn't renewed my season ticket, which I have done for the best part of 40 years. I won't be renewing next season. This new chairman seems very grubby to me. Hmm - so principled a tone - it's social media marketing fella, get with the project. Everyone complaining whilst in the PL that everyone was either ignoring or getting things wrong about us. Plus 3 wins and a draw under PH so far what's not to like given our dire performances last season? Lighten up! UTT! Have you got that 100 quid for me yet?

Allegedly Dean hated the kit from first year in premier league with the gradient stripes but still reluctantly signed it off.

I bet Town and PP are pissing themselves at some of the comments on here. Personally i think it's hilarious that it's got a good 70% on here worried.
Gullible lot.

FWIW we have bumped into a couple of Town fans this morning, whilst enjoying our travels, wearing their PL shirts. I showed them a picture of the new kit and they just laughed. They both are looking forward to the proper new kit being launched as they don't like the PL ones . All a matter of taste. All will be sorted by the time we come home .

Dean hasn’t even gone anywhere. He’s just moved from being John Lennon to Ringo Starr.

As the unofficial Gok Wan of Town kits, Are you seriously saying you wont buy the new shirt even if you like it because you were hoodwinked to such an extent you wont be renewing your ticket ever again ?
In which case we need a new " New Kit wear judging afficianado ", Applicants need not apply till Saturday when Jarvis returns from the St Georges Square cold war bunker.
