Well, I came home to a shiny new season Card, and I am genuinely looking forward to this season. Pre- season has been good, the team look happier and most of the fans are perking up.
I know we haven't kicked a ball in anger, and that one win in the next five games would mean pitch forks and mass suicide, but maybe it's the sunshine, but I'm raring to go. Bring it on!

I'm edging my bets with "Top Half". That covers Automatics and Play Offs too 😁.

I hope we get in to the top 6. However my head says top half will be a good footing and be thankful we don't go back into our pre Wagner mantra of simply surviving in this division.

Where is the who the hell knows option? We have a manager with no track record and no experience in the Championship and a team that could very rapidly change if a good offer comes in.
I would like to think at least top half but I honestly don't know. If offers came in for Mooy and Schindler at the end of the window and both left we could be a very different proposition.

I would have said top 10 a fortnight ago but feeling confident now of a serious push for playoffs/top 6. No reason why not with the players we've so far held onto and the new recruits (who admittedly I've only seen on YouTube so far).

The jury's still out till we see some meaningful action but I'm not confident we will be in the shake up. Aside from one or two we lack quality, the quality is in defence so we might well be good defensively but attack wise we don't look do great.

That's only 2 a game, granted more than we have managed in the last few seasons but I wouldn't really set out any stall by pre season friendlies to be fair, they are just work outs. I might pop down to the Montpelier game. It's the supply that concerns me.

Lots of unknowables but i am a lot happier than i was just two months ago. Deano is still there, Phil excites, recruitment good if not spectacular, results OK, deadwood being sorted and rivals doing sod all in the market. Fair wind, good dressing room, Prem loans and another striker and we could be scaring everybody. Tickets gone well, shirt great and clearly there is a lot of new positivity around the club. Momentum counts. All systems go! Sixth place will do. Hold the back page until we lose 3-0 v Derby.

It's a difficult one, just watched the highlights from last night and there is a lot of good build up play but the final ball or the end product remains questionable.

A great problem to have is squad competition. But, the assumption seems to be that Mooy will be here which is very unlikely.

I don't get why anyone would ask this question before the transfer window has shut.
I think the team we have now could easily be top 6.
The team we have the day after the window shuts may not be the same.

Comfortable top 10.
There is no way this current squad will finish bottom half or battle relagation.

Billing to bmuff story started early this week..expect that to complete this weekend.. So.. On my theory.. If we dont hear owt re- mooy/schindy/kongolo..this weekend.. We are home and dry👍

If we only finish top half at least we'll have stopped the rot and won quite a few. A playoff place with a chance of a day out at Wembley again would be fantastic!
Automatic promotion would be the stuff of dreams, last time we did it was when Mick Buxton was manager!
Anything other than these I don't want to think about!

Squad looks good on paper, which means precisely nothing. Being optimistic and saying top half, but for me, as long as we stay up and aren't painful to watch, I don't care where we finish.

The jury's still out till we see some meaningful action but I'm not confident we will be in the shake up. Aside from one or two we lack quality, the quality is in defence so we might well be good defensively but attack wise we don't look do great. But attack wise we have VLP and Kachunga who got us promoted, we also still have Collin, in the CF positions we now have Grant who I think is an upgrade on Wells, we also have Mounie (£12M striker), Pritchard one of the championships best players over the last few seasons. Then we have Diakhaby and Mbenza who are still a bit of an unknown but who will surely offer something, plus we have Brown and Koroma, a couple of wild cards. So on paper I think attack wise we look much stronger. The squad as it is currently should be good enough for a top 6 finish all day long but as we know football isn't always that simple. Ultimately it depends on how Jan performs, I'd pretty much written him off last season but if he can build a good spirit and get his ideas across we should be looking at top 6.

Town don’t do automatic promotion Town don’t win play-off home legs Town don’t score in play-off finals When it comes to penalty shootouts......, Town take that chance.
