The jury's still out till we see some meaningful action but I'm not confident we will be in the shake up. Aside from one or two we lack quality, the quality is in defence so we might well be good defensively but attack wise we don't look do great. Art in negative post shock.. 🥴

I do not think we'll struggle at all. I can see us getting off to a flyer and never looking back.

We’re nowhere near, I suspect, to a promotion challenge. Think we may lose star players before start of season and not at all sure team spirit will be as it was under Wagner. I’ve voted for bottom half but it could be worse. I agree with arterrier- our defence may keep us out of trouble.

A number of players will not be here by the end of August so impossible to predict. It's relatively easy to build team spirit through the summer friendlies, i want to see how JS reacts if we are lower middle table at Aug 31st. I expect Mooy, Kongolo and 1 more to have gone by then. However if we start winning, it could be a whole different ball game.

Momentum is key, get off to a good start and anything is possible, poor start and last season's memories will come flooding back.

Never do anything with being strong at the back I think if we can keep hold of grant he will provide the goals If we stay inside the top 10 all season I’d be more than happy and I think we will Obvs until the transfer window shuts it dIfficult to know Still worried terry Mooy and grant will be snatched off us

If the key players stay, I will be surprised if we're not top 6. We have some players who are too good for this division (although that sounds a bit daft given we struggled so much last season)

I’m getting the feeling from PH that he’s not interested in selling our big stars because he would rather have a shot at promotion with them.
I’m getting the feeling that he’s sat down the players and coaches individually or/and together and told them what he expects from them. Smiles, enjoying their football, in return he wants to provide them the chance to go back up and get that winning Town feeling back.
The club has brought in players with a winning mindset. Put together a preseason that is challenging but every game is winnable. Getting rid of those that don’t fit in. The final piece is keeping the core such as Mooy, Schindler, Hogg, Kongolo and Grant.
We were a competitive team in the PL last season until the wheels fell off when Mounié got sent off then Mooy got injured. With a step down in competition, I think we should and will be challenging for autos.

How many teams in the championship have a stronger back 4 than Flo, Shindler, Elphick & Kongolo?
How many teams have a better midfield than Mooy, Hogg & Bacuna?
In the attacking areas we have the pace to burn with Grant, Diakhaby & Mbenza. Proven championship players in Pritchard & Kachunga. We have the trickery of RVLP & an aerial presence in Mounie.
In addition to those we have young hungry players like Koroma, O'Brien, Daly, Stankovic & Edmonds-Green, Reece Brown & Jaden Brown with Bockhorn & Quaner keen to prove themselves with Siewert.
Grabara is very highly rated, Coleman never let us down as number 2 in our last championship season & Schofield in coming on well by all accounts.
I'd be happier with another fullback coming in but providing nobody else leaves barring Zanka, Billing & Sabiri, I see no reason why that team can't thrive in the championship & push for a minimum top 8 finish.

This season I think Town will finish.....
which fans of both Bolton and Bury are not confident of.

I believe the squad is good enough as it stands but we will lose: Mooy Kongolo Grant Schindler without them we are down Are you Arterrier's negative brother? Taken from one of his previous posts. wish I had that faith, but i'm sorry I dont, I think there is a mass exodus coming, looking at the squad over recent weeks I think they are all wanting to be away, I honestly believe at the start of next season there will be no: Mooy Schindler Billing Kongolo Mounie LDP lossl Flo Grant Diakhby Mbenza Bacuna Durm Zanka Even Hogg and Smith look disinterested, I dont think there is 1 member of the squad who would choose to stay if they were offered an alternative

Unless the offers for Schindler improve 'remarkably' and we actually get one for the others it's likely they will be here. The initial enqs were given a price and the hard word on no discounts if bids were held till very late on in the window. No one we want will be undersold. So I am informed. As have the lads in question. This is not to say the fees won't be met but it is a statement of intent in our business this window. We have not set ludicrous fees.

Is predicting a top 8 finish being ultra positive anyway? Some on here are predicting autos, you no doubt will have us down for a relegation scrap?

Grant is in the top 5 favourites for the golden boot. Kachunga was our top scorer in the championship the last time, Pritchard has 19 goals with 20 assists in 89 appearances in the championship, I'm confident Mounie will score goals at this level, Mbenza struggled last season but so did Costa & Adama Traore but they didn't do too bad in the championship so no reason by Mbenza can't get better, the same goes for Diakhaby. Hardly toothless up front.

Mounie? Different division and different tactics to play to his strengths. Give him a go. The idea we can't score is a hangover from 3 quiet seasons in front of goal. The difference was a post or a save on enough occasions added to our reluctance to get bodies forward or even just the ball, for me to believe it's not inbred. 🥅

To be honest, I love the guy and I so badly want him to get it back and I think I speak for 99 percent of the Town fans in that.

If we can keep Mooy and Kongolo then play offs beckon. Despite the scorn shown by many I think Zanka’s strength and pace would have been formidable at this level.

If we can keep our current squad I really believe Town are a top two contender. However, if players leave over the next couple of weeks then that prediction will have to be downgraded. But this squad is better than the promotion winning team in a division weaker than when we went up. Fulham should be contenders along with Cardiff, Derby and maybe Forest. We have a team to be proud of and with that forward line I can't wait to play Leeds.
