Which manager/Head Coach is going first?
I'm going for a biggy. I think it might be Solskaer (sp?). Man U looked in complete disarray towards the end of last season and he is nowhere nearer sorting out his personnel crisis - Pogba, Lukaku, Sanchez.
Also, he doesn't look fully comfortable in the role. He's another coach having to deal with a hierarchy that see control as more important than building long term success.

Steve Bruce - toxic atmosphere, poor results, gone in October.
In the championship, Bielsa, all goes a bit sour at Elland Road after dreadful start, maybe wishful thinking that one.

Especially after the arrogance of that amazon film!!! Take us home!!! Like it’s a god given right they should be promoted! Can you imagine sky and MOTD if they did it? I’d emigrate

I could see it being Lampard. He has the squad that should be able to beat most teams easily but I’m not sure how his track record so far qualifies him as a top European coach. If Chelsea stutter early on then he’ll be under big pressure I’d have thought.

Prem Roy hodgeson or if villa start bad with brass they have spent Dean Smith. In champ either Johnson or the fella at Brentford.

Dean Smith in Premier League. They remind me of Fulham last year. If Forest start badly then Lamouchi will be first to go in our league. Also wouldn’t be surprised if Marco Silva gets the boot early doors, they have a pretty easy start so if they are not top 8 after 10 games with the teams they are playing I can’t see him being there.

Cocu for me, not had a good pre-season, really could have lost to Rangers by a cricket score if it wasn't for the keeper, play-offs hangover, lost a lot of the good players they had last season such as Wilson, Mount, Tomori, a few injuries and nil points after te first game:-)) it all adds up to a P45!

The darling of Stamford Bridge having his hands tied with the transfer embargo will gain him lots of time if things are going very badly. I reckon the pressure is off for a top four finish.

For maximum satisfaction it would have to be Nuno.

For maximum satisfaction it would have to be Nuno. They were very lucky to have no major injuries last season. I would love for them to be flirting near the bottom group this season.

Could be a good shout, similar situation to De Boer at Palace, an odd appointment and the fans will want him out straight away if they start poorly. Having said that, if they convincingly beat us on Monday it'll be our fans going into meltdown. I can't see Woodgate lasting long, although him being a former player should mean the fans take a bit longer to lose it if they start badly.

There are so many managers who could get the chop if they do not start well, from some of those listed above already, even our own coach will be under pressure to start well! Clubs in the lower leagues such as Portsmouth, Sunderland and even Salford will be looking to start well.
My predication is Ipswich and Paul Lambert, not an easy start away to Burton, Sunderland at home then Peterborough away with a tricky cup tie Luton in that lot too!

They don't seem to have done much in pre season either

I'd assumed Lambert had walked away when they got relegated. If he's still there then yes he'd be a good bet. I don't know half the managerial changes at start of a season and usually don't catch up with them until I start seeing the post match press chat on highlights programmes once the season starts.

He is definitely in the need a good start category. I’m concerned Phil has stuck with him as he’s cheap. If we don’t look any better tonight than we did last year the rumblings will only grow. I hope the club knows what they’re doing as this is a bloody good championship squad- probably the best in the division overall. Why we’re not even ‘aiming for promotion’ I don’t understand. There’s a massive gulf between the divisions. Hats what I’d be reminding all the players of tonight.
