I think there is underlying frustrations
We all hoped jan could make this team - which my view is better than the one which started our PL season at palace in 2017 - into a coherent competitive side
Last night hope met reality to a degree
As for the fans
I believe we statistically edured the worse top flight season for home wins in the history of the game last year (just two) - just missing the most home losses in a season
Our new chairman arrived in a cloud of confusion and rumours of failing fit and proper for betting - no comms from the club when a simple “we need to wait until mid June as the FA not PL are ratifying PH”. Instead silence and rumours
Our commercial team did a kit launch that was divisive
We sacked our assistant manager at the start of preseason only weeks after hiring him for compensation - replaced by a guy who manages amateur women’s team (who intially knocked us back)
We believe in a director of football approach but took 9 months to find our fourth one in 2.5 years
We’ve spent less this summer than Powell did 2015 - our left back options are a centre back out of position and a lad who couldn’t get in Exeter’s team last season. We need a left back
I know the above is doom laden but equally against that back drop you can surely appreciate the grumbles
