Simple question really as I don't buy the premier wages bullshit swallowing up everything we had in parachute payment money.
We have invested nothing in the playing squad. We don't look like we will do with a few days to go.
What is the strategy? Buy cheap and German conference players and don't play them.
The new rule of the club reeks already from the chairman's lack of investment to the manager's lack of quality.
I was really looking forward to this season...but I feel if we don't act soon in the transfer market or sack this clown of a manager we will be in the bottom three at the end of August and then struggle to get out.

Simple question that the chairman has already answered, but you don't believe him, so now you want a different answer?

What’s wrong with that, clubs on a downward spiral, little to no financial investment, lad wants answers What's wrong with it is the chairman has stood up in front of any member of the public that cared to attend, and stated that the remaining premier league money is all allocated to future running costs of the club (wages in simple terms), so why does the OP think that by asking the question again, that the answer would be any different?

Why would he lie? I think folk are forgetting DH is still a 25% shareholder in the club. Do you think he'd be lied to by Phil H?

He said this year's payment has been spent not all of it.

Lossl, zanka. Ince, flo, sobhi, Malone, Hamer, mbenza, diakabhy, Mounie, depoitre, Grant, mooy, bacuna, Pritchard, Kongolo, Brown, koroma, Elphick, Williams, Grabara, Bockhorn + wage bill of over £60m x 2 and this years wage bill which will be £20-25m at least is where the investment is. (May have missed some) plus £5m of renovations to the ground which we had to have done and also whatever cash has bn used/set aside for Canalside. (Also I’m aware some of these players are loans or free’s but signing on fees/loan fees exist and also players weirdly get paid so there wages are an expense too)

I was on holiday but could have skyped in I guess...I am amazed no town fan asked this question. It's abundantly clear he has taken the parachute payments to bankroll the purchase of the club...hence no signings. May as well have the chuckle brothers in charge at the club

To be fair, I don't buy the money has been spent line, unless its been used to buy Deano out and pay back his directors loans.
Worse than that in my eyes is that the Chairman seems to want all the gravitas of been chairman of Huddersfield town, but is seemingly forgetting the massive rebuilding job and hardwork that's required from the chairman to get the club back on an even keel, Im feeling someone keen on the gravitas, but not keen on the hard work and putting his hand in his pocket.
The seats, Paddypower, charities are all superfluous to the football on the grass.

I am not going to overly criticise, as I didn't go, but we had an opportunity to probe him and arguably didn't do a very good job of it.

The bloke is no richer than the average DATM user. We are going to go back to making 1 big sale a year and then spend a few pennies on 'promising' players

He needs to either put up or shut up and sell the club on. Half arsed stuff, like not even been arsed putting the clappers on the seats, it all stinks of non league chairmanship. Why the fuck was he on the pitch at half time? He should be working his nuts off on deals in time for Thursday's deadline both in and out. For me Jan and Phil have 10 games.... after that he better get a container of tin hats because hes going to need them if it goes tits.

The money is one thing but I would ask him if he has a strategy for the next 1-3 seasons and beyond that. If we don't get back to the Premier League what budget do we have then and what's our strategy? I would certainly have asked that question at the Q&A and was amazed nobody did.
The other question is if there is more money, and I do take your point, would you trust those currently in charge to use it wisely? Yes we got a bargain in Grant and Brown and Koroma may prove to be good players but the strategy of trusting Siewert (and before last night I was in the give him a chance camp...The first half has given me serious doubts) with the players we have and paying, albeit reduced, wages looks flawed.
I posted elsewhere that the fans were prepared to make allowances in the Premier League they won't in the Championship.

A brief blip of success has ruined some of you.
Look at all the club's that have been where we have, and look at where most of them are now.
I actually feel sorry for you, because you will never be able to follow Huddersfield Town with any sense of perspective, and you will get very limited enjoyment out of supporting the club.

Where is the investment then. What investment? He's already said the money is allocated. Tbf, those comments were made before the sale of Billing so even if Bournemouth didn’t pay the reported £15m upfront, we’ll still have received a good chunk of it. Whoever heard of a club being relegated from the Premier League and not having a pot to piss in because quite honestly, that’s what it’s looking like. Either that or the board don’t trust Siewart with the money. I’ve said it before and it goes back to when I started watching Town late 70’s and before then as I’ve read the stories, if it can be done on the cheap, we’ll do it on the cheap and this is being borne out again. The exception being the PL years.
