You can get away with changing the seats and bringing in a few players for a hundred grand at southport.... but we are in the 5th biggest league in the world... He needs to either put up or shut up and sell the club on. Half arsed stuff, like not even been arsed putting the clappers on the seats, it all stinks of non league chairmanship. Why the fuck was he on the pitch at half time? He should be working his nuts off on deals in time for Thursday's deadline both in and out. For me Jan and Phil have 10 games.... after that he better get a container of tin hats because hes going to need them if it goes tits. Did you really expect Phil to put the clappers on the seats, especially when he's working his nuts off on deals? If there was no-one to put them on the seats, then yes. with his mobile in his hand. Hardwork hurts no-one, if i was chairman i would have stayed up all night and done it myself. He is coming across as chairman in name only. |

What’s wrong with that, clubs on a downward spiral, little to no financial investment, lad wants answers What's wrong with it is the chairman has stood up in front of any member of the public that cared to attend, and stated that the remaining premier league money is all allocated to future running costs of the club (wages in simple terms), so why does the OP think that by asking the question again, that the answer would be any different? In that case any of us could assume the position of chairman if we don’t have to risk a penny of our own cash? My outlook isn’t quite as bleak as the OP’s but we’re clearly lacking in a couple of areas (fullbacks). |

I have to say the 'where has the money gone' question is quite pertinent. Either it has gone and the PL is not the financial cash cow we all think or there has been some serious financial mismanagement down at Town.
But there is the Billing and Smith money which needs to be made available to Seiwert to strengthen but would you trust him to buy the right players?

That is what he’s saying - dean hoyles had his 50 million back too How do you conclude that Dean has had his £50m directors loan repaid? Wait for the accounts. I would be very confident the club retains it’s indebtedness to Dean. |

PH used his own money to buy the club, the guy has been a lot more successful in business than you give him credit for.
I know things are emotional currently. I was pissed off big time with the showing last night but let's pull together. Dean is one of us, Phil is one of us and we all want success for Htafc. UTT

I don't believe what he said...do you? Something does not add up here at all. Why would he lie? I think folk are forgetting DH is still a 25% shareholder in the club. Do you think he'd be lied to by Phil H? I agree with you on the fact that I don't think he's lying. The £40m parachute payment is doing exactly what is it meant to do and covering this seasons wage bill. I do however think that as fans we have a right to ask why we haven't made more changes to a playing squad that failed miserably last season and was always going to have the same failings again, chance creation being the main one. We're going to recoup £20m in player sales this transfer window and I won't for one second buy it if we're told that that £20m has already gone as well because PH was quite clear that we didn't need to sell anyone. Therefore you would assume any funds from player sales are extra money on top of what we already had to cover costs. As fans we have every right to question why money from player sales isn't reinvested in a playing squad that desperately needs new faces. |

A brief blip of success has ruined some of you. Look at all the club's that have been where we have, and look at where most of them are now. I actually feel sorry for you, because you will never be able to follow Huddersfield Town with any sense of perspective, and you will get very limited enjoyment out of supporting the club. To be honest if the on-pitch situation were even 25% better then I doubt most of these questions would be getting asked. Even those with the broadest sense of perspective can surely acknowledge that the past 12 months football has been nothing short of appalling. |
