Strange comment from Diakhaby in press conference “I don’t know QPR” Do they not look at the opposition? I would have thought that preparation covered two aspects Us - how we set up Them - how they set up Course they don't, they are clueless.

Just make sure we score first half before they work it out.”

Now Mooy has gone it will be interesting to see how we line up against QPR. Bacuna may be out so it may be Chalobah in for him and O'Brien in for Mooy. I will not be there but will be listening. Interesting times

Jan seemed to know plenty about QPR in his interview

Strange comment from Diakhaby in press conference “I don’t know QPR” Do they not look at the opposition? I would have thought that preparation covered two aspects Us - how we set up Them - how they set up Huddersfield in common with many club have an entire analyst dept setup to study the opposition as well as giving feed back on Huddersfield. Huddersfield will have all details about knowledge that is available. Unless they also employ Bielsa-style spying on sessions.

4-3-3
Grabara Flo Schindler Stankovic Kongolo Chalobah Bacuna R. Brown Diakhaby Grant Pritchard
If we are going to embrace the style of play that Jan is so confident about we need pace in CM and players who can create attacks very quickly. For this reason Hogg gets dropped.

Any ideas on where's good to drink pre-match over QPR way?
Any pubs Town fans are aiming to congregate in?

Unfortunately it's probably too late now, but I have a spare return ticket portion, London Z1-2 to Hudds, open tkt, valid till the 15th Aug.
If there is someone interested in this and is prepared to meet up to collect they can have it for nowt, it's no use to me for next week. I can't go much out of my way though, so PM me if there's any takers.

There's no way at all that Elphick doesn't start tomorrow. To drop him after one game would be to throw him under the bus and JS won't do that with his new man.

Grabba Hadj schinds kongolo bocks Hogg brown bacuna Diakhaby grant mBenza
I cant pick Pritchard because he is too weak to play in a midfield 3 without both Hogg and Mooy.
We will be playing more on the counter so I'm giving it to mBenza, I'd let them swap wings regularly as well as they both want to play on the right.
I'm sorry after his debut, I'm not picking Elphick. You cant perform like that and then get In the team the week after... we have just given Hamer away and replaced him with big tommy.

Suspect that is the case, expect it more likely to see him Tuesday night against Lincoln.

Do have a spare ticket for this if anyone is inspired by that deadline day - will accept less than gate price.

Grabara Flo, Elphick, Schindler, Kongolo, Hogg, Bacuna, R. Brown Diakhaby, Grant, Pritchard Subs; Schofield, Bockhorn, Stankovic, Mbenza, O'Brien, RVLP, Kachunga. As others have said I can't see Elphick being dropped after just one poor game and Chalobah will most likely get a first run out v Lincoln on Tuesday night, If Bacuna's not fit I'd put O'Brien in, both he and Reece Brown looked good in pre season even if it was against poorer opposition, big chance for the younger lads to show what they can do. UTFT!

puzzles me why anyone would start Diakhaby. Still I'm not the gaffer.
I'd go with;
Grabara Chalobleh, Elphick, Schindler, Kongolo, Hogg, Bacuna, R. Brown MBenza, Grant, Pritchard

Sorry guys I voted for us to lose. At the moment - even after one game - I cannot see much difference from last season. In fact the squad is not as strong. I have very little faith in our set up, players and manager at the moment. A positive result would make a big difference to the bounce in everyones step.

Looking forward to it.
I’d start Chalobah and VLP.
Get that first goal, confidence up and it could be the making of us. (Here’s hoping).

I kept faith with VLP for a very long time as the player has all the tools in the box problem was he didn't bring them out. Hope his attitude is more positive than it was but he can inject some pace into the team.
