He's certainly done well up to press. But doesn't he have a reputation for playing long-ball football? He’s got promotions coming out of his arse. I doubt it’s too easy to get out of non-league without giving it some air. I’m sure he’s probably adapting his style at the moment. Rowett was solid at Birmingham and Derby, Stoke didn’t go well mind. His football was boring as hell, and he was accused of not having a discernible style. He got results I suppose, but his brand of football is not something to get enthused about.

True, probably wouldn’t be my first choice.

We'll be only looking at ones who are out of work. No way will we pay compensation to any club.

Cowley all day for me if we go the English route and producing young players. He’s so ducking good He's certainly done well up to press. But doesn't he have a reputation for playing long-ball football? Premier league he got that way, it worked as they stayed up and would of before he was booted. In this league he had them playing right. Give him what he wants and see the uplift around the place. As big as a marquee signing tbh

Whoever it is...we've been tracking them for 3 years because we're so awesome at unearthing talent.
Errm...has Siewert gone?

I'm finding Siewert's football more boring than an evening with John Major but at least with Rowett we might get the odd win.

Rowett no thanks. Negative football, blames everyone but himself when it goes pear-shaped. Wastes money too. Got to Cowley or Hughton for me, IF Siewart gets the bullet; just can't see him going anytime soon. Anyhow, anyone for Lincoln?

When van la parra is taking the piss on instagram and Bacuna is liking it you know the manager is done. Kachunga has liked it too.

Done. I'll see you at the services on the M56. Be sure to blindfold and gag your Manager first. And no smuggling Tom Ince or I'll bring Quaner.

Quite surprised no one has mentioned Daniel Stendel at Barnsley in this thread. Done a great job, scored plenty of goals and been very organised as a team.

Would rather have Wadsworth back than the guy we have now. I’m no great fan of Siewert but you surely can’t be serious. I have never seen a Town side as clueless as Wadsworth’s Town team at Cheltenham in 2003.

People thinking he’s out of range.
He’s out of a job, plenty experience here, give him enough money which we can afford tbh, he will come.
Give him a long term plan, let him do his thing and watch the feel good factor come back. Will play a style to suit what we have, not force one he wants like Jan is.
Come January he could bring a few players in to sort it and if we aren’t there at the end of the season, then summer let him loose and watch. He’s done it before and knows the script, will get the best out of a bad bunch.
£2m a year for a manager sounds a lot. But for us, not spending the money we got from players, that’s our signing and that signing would be an absolute gem in the long run. Make it happen, but him a house, walk his dog for a year, just get him.

After paying money for his Assistant to then bin him a few months later would reckon that would be a no go! Colin Bell has a wealth of coaching, tactics, organisational and player management experience, and has dealt with players at all levels getting them playing well above their supposed capabilities. My instincts when he was signed from The Republic of Ireland role was that he would likely be the next head coach if and when Jan.S gets canned...The appointment of David Webb only reinforced the thought, as the experience levels seem a better fit. I absolutely believe that if P.H had the so called full confidence in Jan...More investment in the squad would have happened . Cheaper low risk potential, or low fee/free transfers in suggests trust issues. Why spend significant sums for a Manager you have grown to have no faith in. They had publicly backed him , so must give maybe 10 games to not lose face totally, and I hope I am wrong , and we improve massively an quickly, but I can't ignore my own business/people management history, and my instinct that the late appointment of Webb after deadline day was to fireproof him for when Jan goes, and that January sees some significant squad investment with a new trusted capable Manager/ Head Coach...… Just an opinion , and though it's painful right now I never have or will slag my club off....Not even when second bottom of the old 4th Division :-)

No pattern, no identity. After we scored today we offered nothing and that’s a concern.
