Same message coming out of the club from all the players and staff..... Jan Siewert's message wasnt clear and was confusing everyone, what i cant understand is that cant have just happened in 4 games, It must have been known by the club last season and early this with people talking off the record, so why didnt we make a change earlier? Billing was openly talking about it in the press back in may, The only thing you can imagine is that it was to piss off as many players as possible so we could acheive maximum turn over in players and go again with the new DOF starting yesterday.
It almost seems like this was the plan come what may and that he was always going to be sacked the second results went against him this season.
RVLP is not the answer to the lack of goals...... I will say that much.

time for him and the rest to step up then starting Wednesday. Looks overweight, needs to lose about 4kgs. The squad have turned into a group of danny wards, hopefully Huddy can kick them into shape and get them weighing in every morning. UTT

I’m sorry I just don’t agree with this ‘love-in’ for VLP. The last seasons with us, before he was bombed out to Boro, many in here were slating him for being fine at carrying the ball but ending up in dead ends, trying too many stepovers.
Nothing has changed. He’s not improved his game and his attitude still shines through. I guarantee if he’s given a run of games the old habits will reappear. Not what we need to kick start our campaign.
I’ll be happily proven wrong but I can’t see it.

VLP has had very little end product since joining us god knows why all of a sudden in some fans eyes hes the new messiah. Even though nick seems to be one of those on the VLP hype train and what he knows about football you could probably write on the back of a postage stamp 😉

It’s in there Cod!
I think my big bug-bear is his attitude and sulkiness. He just seems to lack any form of moral compass and acts petulant.
As I say I’ll happily be proven wrong 👍🏼

I’m well on board with this love in. He’ll probably let me down and get sent off for bin a gobby knob but no way will he not improve our team.

I'm all in for the love in, our wingers are horse shit and he is the only one capable of getting me off my seat and beating a man.
Yes he's incredibly frustrating at times but he is by far the best of a bad bunch.
Love you VLP xxx

As i posted, if he loses his alleged attitude that will go a long way to getting people onside. Edit....Correction, I see what you mean.

Massive fan here, no finer site than vlp taking the piss out of Bruno in that Brighton victory, set the tone for the whole game, it’s what he’s capable of. Brings a hell of a lot to the team, a lot can’t or won’t see it, some probably didn’t even wonder what he was doing tussling with mitro near the corner flag, his defensive work rate just one part of his game that’s 5 times better than anything else we have.
Makes me chuckle that people are surprised he’s inconsistent with a questionable end product. He’s a winger ffs and didn’t cost £80M. What do you expect??!! Wingers like vlp are inconsistent, goes with the territory and it’s a by product of the fact they are continually taking risks and trying to beat players with flair.

For years most on here have disliked him
Now most love him....I can’t keep up!
Anyway - He brings so much more to the team than his attacking
You would judge him and think he’s the last person to trust or would put 110% in etc. How wrong
He’s the best defensive winger I’ve seen in a long time
Some will say his job isn’t to defend
I disagree - to succeed at this level we need to work harder, be fitter and be better as a team than we are individually
It gives you a base, something to work on - a great example of why we won something like 23 out of 26 games in 16/17 by 1 goal. Incredible
That is exactly how we won promotion. Team. Sum better than its parts. Organisation. Hard work. Fitness. Clear game plan / pattern of play. Transition phase. Tactically astute.
He was a crucial part of that team - and in particular that transition phase. He’d take us 40 yards up the field. Yes he may then make a bad decision, lose the ball for a throw etc but we’d transitioned from back foot to front foot
If his end product was better he wouldn’t be here
But he remains our best winger

Anyone see Traore’s performance v Man Utd? Pleased that he has spoken - hopefully it means his long exile from the team is over. Can’t wait to see him play on Saturday.

And credit to Wagner for instilling the defensive part of the game in him. Regular starter in our promotion season for good reason.

I've been a fan of his since he got here but ignoring that it'll be nice to see somebody exciting playing for us. You don't know what he's going to do (except, probably, not get an assist 😉) but after how dreary we've been all last season just seeing someone that gets you on the edge/out of your seat will make a nice change

As I say I’ll happily be proven wrong 👍🏼 Hardly anyone is over praising him. The theme is he is he's arguably the best of what we've got out wide, which is as much because of the lack of quality or at least form of the others.

Yet again the bollocks spoken by the club rep in an interviewed is swallowed without question. Why bother with these if nobody is ever told that the questioner might disagree with what has been said? They make Oggy seem like Paxton

Even though nick seems to be one of those on the VLP hype train and what he knows about football you could probably write on the back of a postage stamp 😉 He’s one of our most skillful players. Yes he’s got an attitude, but an experienced manager or club captain could get him to focus and prioritise and become a superb player that could run rings round most Championship teams, at least scare them shitless whilst taking the pressure off our defence / midfield.

His scoring and assist stats are terrible, we all know that, but that's not all that matters to his contribution to the team.
Occupies players leaving space for others to exploit, wins free kicks higher up the pitch (often theatrically I agree), and works hard defensively in comparison to any other winger we have.
Would you have seen any other of our wingers tussling with Mitrovic down in our own corner? I highly doubt it.

VLP puts a shift in - he’s a great team player. When he’s on it, ( like v Bruno in Brighton game ) he’s an exciting player to watch.
