I find it sad that a hudds born lad has never supported his home team. I find it even more odd a Huddersfield born middle aged man supports Liverpool. L Why pray tell ! They are my second team, just because Leeds are yours.

This is not a comment on him as a signing or a person. However for me a Man Utd fan from Huddersfield does not even come close to being 'one of our own'. I don’t think we ever quite made Jon Stead ‘one of our own’. He was not a football fan, more into swimming !

“Now the football has surpassed the rugby and it’s fantastic to see for myself. Football is a main attraction of Huddersfield.” How old is he? 31 ? He must be 131 if he can remember a time when the football didn;t surpass the rugby in Huddersfield! Is he getting Hull and Huddersfield mixed up? He doesn’t seem to be the brightest tbh lol he's huddersfield grammar school alumni - which is no guarantee of cleverness in itself, but he'd still be first in line for the pub quiz team, most especially before before such a time served wilfully ignorant grim troglodyte as thee.

Seen he scored 12 goals last year.
Remind me, when was the last time we had a player score 12 goals in a season? Must be a few years now surely?

He must be 131 if he can remember a time when the football didn;t surpass the rugby in Huddersfield! Is he getting Hull and Huddersfield mixed up? You’ve got to remember he was being brainwashed by Man Utd since the age of ten and has spent since a youngish age playing at Premier League clubs plus a couple of brief Championship spells (and Belgium). Huddersfield Town as a football club probably hasn’t registered on his conscience despite his “coming home” mantra. Conversely, having spent 2 or 3 years in Hull across his career, he’ll no doubt have been well aware of the local rugby clubs, and when the Giants were playing them it would have been a “thats your team/town coming to Hull Fraizer” moment. No great surprise at all that he would consider the rugby club to be foremost on his radar. Hudds Town have been inconsequential for most of the last 15 years or so to anyone but actual fans....the rugby club has been in the top flight and on TV plenty times every season. That may be about to change of course. But hardly anyone cares about or watches rugby league, even on Sky, so they were inconsequential too. Although, from what I was told on Sunday, your final sentence could be very, very true.

I'd say being local coming through the academy from a young age qualifies you as 'one of our own' (If you want). Nobody would claim FC was 'one of our own' if you swapped Man Utd for Leeds Utd. I don't see being a glory supporter of any other team as much of a step up from that. I'll cheer him anyway, but let's not dellude ourselves, he's no more a town fan than a Man Utd fan from Halifax.

Yeah all this "Coming home " stuff is a bit OTT. He didn't want to come home all the times in the last 5 years we've tried to sign him

A great addition to the team and a glimmer of light at the end of a gloomy transfer window. He was born in Huddersfield, that’s all that matters. Let’s hope he can ease some pressure away from Grant now (we have been counter productive before with strikers) and help him develop more as a player and play with some freedom.
His instinctive goal scoring and hold up play will bode well. All the of the above won’t happen unless Siewert plays 2 strikers though.
Let’s see how it pans out!

At his age obviously not a long term answer but we desperately need someone up front with a bit of a spark and he might give both fans and players around him the lift we need to get things moving. Never been a prolific scorer but on the plus side his last season with Hull (12 from 39 games) was his best haul for some time so he's not lost it if given the opportunity.

I wanted to like this, but being a glory supporter of any other team is a huge step up from supporting that lot from Beeston. Decent bit of business, but as somebody who never supported the club and didn't come through our youth system, Frazier Campbell is not one of our own. (Ryan Schofield on the other hand.....)

Looking at the 'scouting report' on Youtube of his recent goals, many were definitely of the 'goal poachers' variety. Something we've not had for good while, anticipating the loose ball or dodgy back pass. IMO he'll be a great signing if staying fit, something that if rushed into action prematurely may not happen.

Point taken maybe got a bit carried away there. However I don't have much time for Man Utd fans from anywhere but Manchester either. To be fair to FC he doesn't actually seem to be claiming it. Some people just seem desperately to want to imprint it on him. However it's just not the truth.

Could be some vital experience in the attacking third and someone for Grant to learn from.
Let's see.
