I'm shocked. I left with 10 minutes to go and I was not alone. Jan has been thrown to the wolves. Not one member of our own coaching staff tried to offer him advice at any time. The players looked like they didn't even want to be there. He's been thrown into it and thrown to the wolves. No wonder he's been floundering. Players can't be arsed. Staff can't be arsed. Clueless on the pitch. Individuals. Isolated. Tepid. Turgid. Slow. Poor tactics. Reactive substitutions. It's not been good or pretty. Spot on mids. It stinks of players who can't turn themselves around who have dragged him down.

Keeper looked very good. That’s about it from me. The fans. Started the game with full support despite 1 win in fuck knows how long. Shame we were shite again Tbh the atmosphere was flat. Not surprising given what's on offer. Never thought I'd say this but bring back the clappers. They get more people involved, like them or loathe them (the clappers not the people).

It’s not great on the pitch but some fans were embarrassing off it tonight. Ironic cheers and boos when bacuna is subbed? Yes he’s had a mare but he’s a young lad with a bright future it’s hardly going to help him out. Jan subbed him, keep your mouth shut and move on. Running over to abuse Jan mid game down by the dugouts? Embarrassing. Jan and the team are getting what they deserve on the pitch at the moment and I don’t care about how patient Town fans were last season - we got what we deserved as fans tonight as well Poor little lambs... Earning fortunes and having to listen to ironic cheers and booing. The decade of the easily upset and offended. There are far worse fans than ours around, I guess 4 wins in 54 is finally taking its toll.

If he has gone it was probably inevitable.
But how we've gone about it disappoints me. Fans squaring up to the guy. Some kid launched the ball at him towards the end when it was our throw.
But if it transpires that some of the players have been pivotal in his undoing that'll piss me off even more. Player power does my head in.
His age was always against him for me, that's why the players have been arseholes with him (allegedly).

Jan was out of his depth with little support from staff or players alike. They left him isolated and struggling in a totally new environment. He seems a nice fella but his coaching has been ignored by players with more clout than him. Shame really but hey ho. He tried and ultimately failed, this time.

Agree with most of that ALTHOUGH it seems he hardly helped himself giving it the big licks when he was appointed

I'll honest. I think it stinks that we've sacked Jan straight after a game.

Was there any real truth in that, or just over confidence being mis-interpreted as arrogance?

Enough people who tend to know these things thought so If there's any truth in that the club and it triggered the petty antics with some players, the club should have stepped in and sorted it. Sounds like we're a club in turmoil. I wonder if Waccoe has a falling apart thread going? 😁

I feel a little bit sorry for Jan, when he took the job he did not have a chance in hell, in my opinion he has had no backing in the transfer window, we have sold / loaned our best players. I agree with the majority of posters that he has to go, our style of play has not improved or changed. When all the dust as settled it is clear to see, Town as always have tried to do this on the cheap! if the club continue with this plan the inevitable will happen. I am not saying we should throw millions of pounds at the problem that is not the solution but please try and get away from this little club image and have a positive forward thinking attitude.

Let’s hope the people who appointed him, after tracking him for so long, have a slightly better plan B. It’s alright firing the manager but someone higher up thought he was a good appointment. Let’s hope some lessons have been learned,

Let’s hope some lessons have been learned, As some have said, probably too early for him. He came with some good people's recommendations. This was one of those things, given our circumstances & a growing number of entitled supporters, that was going to result in spectacular success or glorious failure. Sadly (for HTFC) it was the latter.

Back to the game. I know it was only a short intro, but Chalobah didn't have anything like the spark Kasey P provided.
I'm hoping he's a bit hungry and turns out to be a good loan signing.
