Imagine how shit we will be after 86 days...... The financial situation will unlikely be any different. We'll still be relegated from the premier league and we'll still be in the same position where costs needed to be reduced due to a severe reduction in income. Likely over three windows as promised. Dean's vision for the club was always that it should be self sufficient, I imagine that's still the same under PH.
The playing staff will likely be just as shit, though we might lose one or two to clubs in Europe it's probably unlikely. The window is closed, we can't buy anyone. We brought in the only option of a free transfer the other day. You still had a childish whinge. The manager is anyone's guess, let's see what happens Friday, I'd say it's do or die for Jan, however Phil's tenure is only three games deep so he's right to give him a couple of games to see improvement. Well they might want that, but unless he can stick us in the Premier League and stay there, or he's turning the club amateur, its not happening.

I thinks Jan’s been a disaster but by sacking him we’re writing off all the plans made during the summer. I’m not ready to give in on this season yet, i’ve bin waiting for it since January!!!!! A new manager get another totally free ride till next January cause they can’t have “their” players. I’m following David’s advise and getting behind the team. At lease for a few more weeks. serious question how many more defeats would you accept? As far as I'm concerned we've only had one defeat this season to Derby. Does anyone really care about the EFL Cup?

DH had the idea to build season on season, very sound planning. Well it stalled after the first as the team strengthening was abysmal during the first close season.

I'd have accepted 3 defeats if there had been any evidence a plan, structure, cohesion, team spirit, and evidence that things may get better.. we've had none of that I'm afraid

For the record it was me who made the comment about "perma tan and highlights" and I quote "looks bloody ridiculous". This was not meant to be abusive but was an observation, which I would contend was accurate although "bloody ridiculous" was my opinion. I hardly think it was the most abusive comment ever made but accept that is open to interpretation. I did qualify this by saying this didn't matter but his professional record did not stand to close scrutiny. I take exception to be told "don't come". For the record I have never booed the team, I also don't abuse players. If things aren't great on the pitch I stay silent, those who sit with me would happily confirm this. I have sat through far worse in my near 40 years support, that doesn't make what I am currently witnessing to be in anyway encouraging. On Tuesday I was sat in reasonably close proximity to Siewert. I did offer my advice to him to get the team further up the pitch, get passing quicker and get people forward to support the attack. All with no profanity or abuse. I also said that if a chump like me could see what was wrong why couldn't he? So any abuse was entirely self directed. How anyone can question the fans' patience at the moment is a little bizarre. To get a lecture about abuse with a tenuous link to what was intended to be a humorous comment (although probably not really of any benefit in the grand scheme of things) is a bit rich. I call it as I see it. I will be there on Friday, will support the players but I reserve the right to offer a considered opinion of what I see. I did not tell anyone not to come, it's merely advice that coming with the belief or 'hope' that we lose is not a good starting point for something such as supporting your team, a reasonably expensive and time consuming pastime. It may even border on self harm and will possibly piss off a number of people around you who are just as passionate but could do without the sometimes incessant moaning, often over every little thing that does not go as they wish? I am not sure how much support helps at times but if the majority of supporters do and the players 'think' it helps then I bow to the majority and then negativity is the other end of the spectrum? I can live with the incredibly upbeat and noisily so supporters whatever is actually happening, I am finding the terminally miserable and vocal with it ones a fucking pain. Sadly that is football, I don't have any problem with people expressing their frustration and if that frustration is justified then it is even more understandable. I think the fans have every right to express frustration right now. It is when it isn't justified it becomes a pain. People attend football for many reasons, being positive and hopeful is only one reason.

I'd say most fans don't and didn't expect us to spend heavily as we and others have proved you don't have to to get out of this league. What is needed is a clear plan identity if you like but none of this is evident at this time

I'm not having this dismissal of the EFL Cup. I would have liked to have a good run in it. Possible revenue stream (as we are now somehow skint) Breeds a winning mentality. Good chance to get to a semi/ cup final (chickens did it) Later rounds good exposure keeping the profile of the club in the wider consciousness of businesses and media. Fans might want that, but the club hasn;t given a shit about cup competitions for many years. We basically play a fringe side until we get knocked out.

Particularly as the Lincoln vs Everton next round tie has been picked for TV - and yes I get they’re looking for another giant killing and if it had been us in the next round it may have not been picked!

Can you talk on another thread. I keep checking this one to see if someone has actually responded with what the Wagner interview was about.

Fulham didn't play midweek so with the game moved to Friday they get 6 days rest & we get 2. Maybe he could have put a few more in, but equally he wanted to see how some of them did up to the pressure of playing in a proper game with a crowd. It and the answer wasn't good in some cases

Which is why after a number of years I am no longer going to go! If they don't want to compete then be honest and tell us and we can all give ourselves a couple of games off.
